It's a well documented fact that gay sex often leads to miscarriage.
And cancer.
Gay Marriage leads to death.
FACT
[editline]22nd August 2012[/editline]
You see it's a fact because I put fact in big honking letters after what I said.
On a related note, it's nice to see that even the Conservatives want to legalise gay marriage. Shows how far we've come since the Thatcher days.
No.
Just no.
It's like a Daily Mail headline.
GAY MARRIAGE TO CAUSE OUTBREAK OF AIDS CANCER.
HOUSEPRICES TO FALL. See page 2.
I mean, what are they hoping to achieve with such empty statements?
“Mr Cameron’s speech reveals that his understanding of marriage and religion is woefully simplistic and ignorant.
“His mantra of ‘equality’ totally ignores the nature, history and role of marriage, which is the union of one man and one woman ordered towards the procreation of children.”
I would say that the people of SPUC and most other religious organizations understandings of religion are "woefully simplistic and ignorant".
Most everyone who are involved in these types of organizations are the type of people who go to church on sunday and listen to their pastor prattle on about the holy scriptures. The problem with this is that church is supposed to be family oriented, which is grossly incompatible with the stories in the bible. So the pastor's job is to carefully select portions of stories in the bible and attempt to use them to give the congregation things to relate to in their lives.
The other problem with this is that the stories are often told out of context (since the pastor had to leave all of that rape, torture, genocide, war, etc. out) and people get these ideas that the bible says something about something, when it doesn't say it in that fashion or even at all. These same people are also the types who generally don't sit down and actually read the bible or even try to understand it. Then these people see some situation that they don't like and go against what they believe (which by this point is some fairy tale) and create crazy organizations like this.
The bible has multiple definitions of marriage (since each book in the bible wasn't written by the same people) and all definitions of marriage are basically defined as the lesser of multiple evils. The least bad of them is indeed between a man and a woman, but it also has a bunch of baggage attached to it that they omit for obvious reasons (woman has to completely submit to man, all her property is now his, and the list gets progressively darker.)
I and most other people would have significantly less problems with groups like this if they stopped using religion as an excuse for why they do things, because they basically turn it into a scapegoat and piss everyone off.
It's a known fact that homo couples go on abortion rampages once married, I thought you knew better, FP.
It's true, gays even use the coat hangers which were in the closets they came out of!
I honestly don't get how people can be this fucking misguided in a first world country.
How could they even come up with that conclusion ? It's like saying pissing in toilets causes tsunamis.

They hide behind broken-ass amendments that haven't been fixed for 200 years because they're more holy than the worm food that is the bible.
Gay marriage causes abortions? By that logic Animals having sex means a random person will be impregnated in the near future.

Quite a few Tory backbenchers are against it, but it doesn't matter because the other two parties are all for it
[editline]23rd August 2012[/editline]
The Tories are dragging their feet on it though, they've said they'll do it but why don't they go ahead and do it? It's possible that with Lords reform dead the Lib Dems might demand this be brought forward as a substitute liberal policy, I dunno

To be fair every now and again the UK slides into a Mad Max-esque world of stupidity and pointlessness, as evidenced by the riots last year which were literally started because a bunch of retards wanted to riot.
