As long as I can get a Freelancer HD 2.0 with Proper Mod Support, I am okay with the game. That was my mindset when I first backed it and it has not changed since.
If they do not fullfill promise, kickstarter sues them
Sues them for what? They only made about 2 mil using kickstarter. The rest was from other backing sources.
just don't watch any of his movies
they're absolutely dreadful
I am very excited to try this, especially since I just got a 780ti and new CPU. Here is one thing though, 40m for a game with AAA quality assets and a wealth of content really isn't all that much. People are acting like it's this HOLY SHIT ABSURD amount, and yes, to humans 40 million dollars is a LOT. But in the world of AAA game development, it's not that massive, pretty impressive in my opinion. I played the lancer games like crazy, as well as Freespace and X2 and 3 waaaay too much.
Look up the budgets of the CoD titles (mostly marketing yeah, but the point stands) MMO's, (remember TOR was like 300 million dollars), and the huge names like Last of Us, GTAV, and others like that. If most of their funds are channeled into actual development and not millions in huge marketing campaigns I have faith it will be enjoyable. People really shouldn't compare the game with it's budget because there are MUCH larger examples and you don't generally see people doing it there either. Except in the case of TOR, mostly because it was a colossal episode.
I feel like they should stop promising so much, iirc the game has enough to play for awhile, and focus on making the game better than it's current state instead of having a team dedicated on adding new stuff.
I bet that when it's released people will call it shit because they hyped it up too much, like they did with GTA V, GTA IV, Bioshock Infinite, ETC.
It'll probably still be a good game, but people should lower their expectations a bit.
Doesn't change the fact that the stuff he's posting is absolutely right, and it isn't his fault that there are 5 of these threads a month talking about how SC is doomed to fail because of feature creep and overhype and scams and shit.
you mean there is one thread a month that talks about how star citizen has gotten more money, and a few comments in that thread will say that SC is doomed to fail
seriously not everyone is out to get SC

Really because every thread besides the SC thread itself is roughly half full of people saying its gonna suck.

Being a producer isn´t really a low level job.
