I knew the instant I saw "Christian" in the title that this thread was going to be a shitstorm. Are we seriously that cynical and fucking horrible that we cannot even respect the dead just because of their religious preferences? We honestly cannot have a civilized discussion and properly mourn the loss of [B]fellow human beings[/B] without you fucks coming in here going "it waz gawds will hurrdurr" Honestly, you guys are a lot worse than the religious folks you criticize if you cannot even show respect for the dead.

The OP who type the title was purposely asking for a religious argument. I mean if the OP has written the title as "A plane carrying youth crashes in Kansas, 4 dead" instead of saying "Plane en route to Christian youth conference crashes in Kansas, 4 die" people would not turn this into a religious debate bullshit. Well thanks a lot for turning this into a fight. It sucks to die in a plane crash. Those poor fellows died in a terrible accident.

The dead are no longer animate, the emotions you display towards them don't really matter anymore. It's more about respect for the living affected by the loss. And without any connection to them, and with the likely prospect that anyone connected to these events will never read anything written here, I can see why people wouldn't care. The loss of life is a common thing, if you were personally saddened by it every time it happened you would be a depressed wreck.

Christians hold God's love as a pillar of their faith, and so when something blatantly contradictory like this happens then it's, well, funny. At least it is if you are both not a christian and not particularly saddened by death. And really the argument isn't so much an argument as it is those who find this "funny" and those that are disgusted by the former butting heads.

It's 4 people who died on a fucking plane crash, it's not funny, it's frankly fucking pathetic if anyone laughs at this.
