But it never officially ended.
Like the korean war. I still think its dumb that Germany had to pay all these countries for the wars that occurred on their soil. America, should pay Germany for all the structures they destroyed in their bombing campaigns. For all the forest and shanties in Vietnam.
Didn't America and a few other countries help rebuild Germany after the war? In western Germany at least.
Probably, maybe due to the fact other nations forced them to pay for the other countries that were owned by the nazi.

Gee, I could have sworn it was a bunch of obscure Balkan nations that had started that little World Fiasco.
I love how it was the Serbians, aka the Allies that started the war, but almost everyone believes that Germany was the belligerent.
Not really. A-H presented Serbia with a list of demands that no country in it's right mind would accept. And then even when they complied with most of the demands, A-H still declared war. From there Germany, Russia, France, etc. chose their sides. Pretty much every country wanted war besides Serbia. It's not fair to blame just one.
I bet Paypal delayed their payment.
I bet Paypal delayed their payment.
Man the fucking guns! WWI v2!
I love how it was the Serbians, aka the Allies that started the war, but almost everyone believes that Germany was the belligerent.
The actual war itself was declared by the Austrians against Serbia. The Serbian assassin had no affiliations whatsoever to the Allies and was not a member of the Serbian government.
Finally I can stop losing sleep!
No, there is a cease fire.
We all know what he meant, you didn't have to correct him.
I can finally visit here and get laid. :buddy:
thank god
So I can finally go to Germany now?
The only reason why the debt was so high was because the British wanted to stop Germany from building a rival empire.
Didn't America and a few other countries help rebuild Germany after the war? In western Germany at least.
And so they should pay? Because alot of that damage was because of the Allies, during the Scorched Earth policy enacted by Hitler, there wasn't anything left to burn because the Allies had started a GIANT FUCKING FIRE STORM ALREADY.
Finally they can get to paying the debts form World War II.
Okay everyone, continue as usual. :geno:
They should have dropped these stupid reparations, why should modern Germany suffer for something that Germany didn't even start in the first place.
France vowed massive revenge because they invaded Germany, lost and had to give a tiny bit of land to the Germans. Its only fair. (To the Pretentious French anyways)
I'm glad we can put that whole ugly mess behind us.
I love how it was the Serbians, aka the Allies that started the war, but almost everyone believes that Germany was the belligerent.
Serbia did not represent the Allies as a whole.
Serbia did not represent the Allies as a whole.
But the way the system was set up, it actually did. ANd I still feel like the US was the biggest brat...they were pulling dick moves against Germany and once Germany hit back and pointed it out, we got angry for getting caught.
german tear emote
Well, Germany did start the war not? I agree that the bill they had to pay was way to huge, France and England wanted a huge one if i learned my history lessons.
World War One? Originally started by a conflict between Serbia and Austria - alliances on both sides ended up pulling half the world into it. I think.
World War One? Originally started by a conflict between Serbia and Austria - alliances on both sides ended up pulling half the world into it. I think.
Yes because of the Alliance's that were formed.
I thought everyone knew that WWI was started by a sandwich?
guys War is people dying, people killing, bombs falling, societies left in ruin, lives destroyed War isn't something written on a paper
They should have dropped these stupid reparations, why should modern Germany suffer for something that Germany didn't even start in the first place.
QFT. I wonder what would have happened if they hadn't been ordered to pay the reparations at the Treaty of Versailles... There would have been less for Germany to be angry about which may have averted the World War 2
Looks like it's all quiet on the western front. Anyway, Germany didn't even started it. In fact, the whole debt paying shit just made it posssible for someone like Hitler to become that powerful.
