Never before was a peace treaty made that blatantly titled one of the forces taking part in the conflict as "guilty" and the one solely responsible for the war. But at the time, the French were still lusting for revenge, because Germany seriously kicked their ass in 1871. (The united Germany was founded in the Versaille palace, because the Germans got so far inside France. :v: Oh, and the Germans took Elsace too.)
If WW 1 only just ended, what should we have called WW 2?

It wasn't Serbia, but Austria. Some assassin killed the heir to the austrian throne, including his wife, and after some inspection Austria found out his nationality was Serbian. He lived in Bosnia, so that didn't matter, but they wanted war so they blamed Serbia for it, and gave them unfair demands, which made them have a war. Everyone loves war, so a big fight between everyone started.
I wonder when the Afghanistan war will 'officially' end. If it took this long for WW1 I have little hope.

Not really, it was mostly the French who wanted to make sure that the Germans could never recover to threaten France/Europe again. The British on the other hand thought that in the coming years that Germany would be a good trading partner, So the British just wanted military restrictions.

It was slightly unfair how much germany were forced to pay after WWI.
WWI was triggered by the assassination of the Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria by the Black Hand, which was formed in Serbia. Austria-Hungary then declared war on Serbia. Germany declared war on Serbia shortly after, having been allied with Austria-Hungary. Because of this, the nations allied with Serbia had to declare war on Germany and Austria-Hungary. Then from there on any other nations that were dragged into the war chose their sides and so on and so forth.

Also I just looked up why Germany went to war with Serbia and it says that Kaiser Wilhelm II offered full support for plans to invade Serbia. It was seen as an unconditional support and was seen as the ignition to WWI, so that's why Germany was blamed for starting WWI.
