This is so anecdotal it's insane.

"the man i thought was my doctor stood there for a little while so we could fill out forms, oh my god the entire health system is bad, the system needs an overhaul!"
don't know what you're talking about, doctor guy sounds like the technical term to me.
Whoa HEY anecdotal evidence. Gee, well I got hit by a car running a red light, and I had 2 doctors and a bunch of nurses at my side the second I got brought in. That must mean 100% of hospital visits are excellent.
If it wasn't for hypochondriacs who take an ambulance trip every time they cut themselves and go into the fucking ER room, then the healthcare service in Canada would be stellar.
It's even funnier because billasae uses the republican parties' logo as his avatar.

That really isn't an argument. If you show up at the ER with a cut you'll get sent to the waiting room in seconds.
Every country that allows UHC right now gets flooded with immigration of large amounts of bums (not going to say what type) who just have tons of kids and feed off UHC systems until they crash. Go ask france or spain. oh... and Sweden now too.
American politics have become a lot more brutal and uncivilized in my opinion. Politicians get so worked up over the littlest details and spend months fighting against the other party as if they're an entire different species. I'm not being biased towards the Republicans or Democrats because its almost impossible for them to cooperate now. While they're different parties their goal is to work together with their different, widened viewpoints to solve these crises. Instead they try to find differences and stir up fights where they are unneeded.

Agreed... Fence sitting all the way.
It all will not get better until they kick the lawyers out of the executive and legislative branches for a while. Bush, Obama, Clinton, and 50 - 65% of congress most years are all lawyers.

well the NHS has been going strong for over 50 years so uh
grow a braincell?
No, actually, somebody (while I was sitting down in the ER) came in with a hand all bandaged from cutting it on a toilet or something, and they just told him it would be 10 hours. I've lived here for a while now, I think I know how things work more than you. Thanks, though.
I've lived here all my fucking life, I think I know it a LOT better than you.
Are you seriously arguing against giving those damn heroes the money they deserve? These guys aren't looking for free rides! A lot of them have terminal conditions or can no longer work because of what they did on 9/11 and afterward. Also, what does this have to do with the Health Care bill?!
I think they are heros that came to their fellow citizens in their time of need.
But I also feel that the feds have no responsibility for them. New York state, or their own states should make the offer.
But just a few years ago, literally billions of dollars was raised to help those very same rescuers. What happened to all that money?

As for the rioting in Sweden, it's not like the whole country has erupted in flames.

Not in america, many people go to the ER because the rule is they have to see you and treat you before sending you else ware.
when I sliced my hand open i went to the ER and there was a lady next to me with a cold but she thought that " the cold had gotten into her brain"
I remember telling the nurse I could wait another 15 minutes though when a man who fell off his bike came in with his god damned shoulder poking out his chest, in which he sat down and asked if she had " Any reading material that was not better homes and gardens"
Kaiser Permanente kicks ass, my payments are assbackwardsly low and I have even the most mundane stupid shit fully covered.
But on topic, The federal healthcare idea is retarded, we need a Canadian like system with the states running the show. The current state of the federal government is not one that can run a NATION WIDE system effectively nor do we even have money to do it at ALL.
Everyone seems to forget that we are broke.
I am going to quote this because I am still right

I don't know who that is.
Health care should be repealed. The more we just spoonfeed our people, they won't need a job for health care, and your tax payer's money is basically going directly to crack dealers - This is why it doesn't work, it makes no sense why crack dealers should get health care for free!
Please tell me at least one person here isn't a socialist candy-ass and actually believes in pure capitalism.

I believed in pure capitalism for a few minutes after I got hit in the head really hard one time, but when the treatment for my concussion didn't bankrupt me I changed my mind (or it could have been the fact that the swelling in my brain went down)

Well the states are pretty broke too.
Well the states are pretty broke too.
It becomes more manageable on a smaller scale and would save more money then a federal system.
Ideally we do not implement this at all until we fix the economic and federal budget problems. However fixing those problems includes removing military bases from some forign nations, restructuring welfare, restructuring federal bureaus and organizations.
None of which the republicans or democrats are willing to do. They want everything they have, for free, plus more.

Haha pure capitalism.
Good luck with that.

We actually had that, in the 1900s. It didn't go very well for some reason.
Good, these socialist/communist democrats need to keep their hands out of people's shit. I can afford healthcare, if you can't, then it's your fault alone!

I can afford a home security system and a garden hose so I am going to suggest we abolish police and fire departments!

The rioting in Sweden has nothing to do with the economy.

No it isn't. You're clearly only fucking 10 and totally uneducated if you believe that any man "is an island upon himself" or anything equally stupid as that.
I've lived here all my fucking life, I think I know it a LOT better than you.
Hah, so have I. So I think I know it a LOT better than you.
