Are you a sensationalist like hannity or something? Capitalism still exists, the federal reserve isn't even a government institution. Do you know anything about reality?
How could I be a sensationalist about the federal reserve, it's absolutely grotesque and disgusting..
I've met very few people who have actually understood what the federal reserve is who support it.
"I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated Governments in the civilized world no longer a Government by free opinion, no longer a Government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a Government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men.
- Woodrow Wilson
It destroyed it.
I have several corporations and companies that disagree with you.
I have several corporations and companies that disagree with you.
Of course you do because some of them benefit from the reserve. . .
The free market is not in the best interest of conniving corporations.. why would they want to defend it?

What are you an idiot? of course the free market is in their best interest.
What are you an idiot? of course the free market is in their best interest.
No, special privilege is.
This really isn't too hard to figure out.. and I'm the idiot?
doesn't matter
capitalism means private companies trade for profit if that's dead then obviously we're all living a lie and you're the only one with your eyes open MAN
republicans are stupid

You're ignoring what we're talking about to try to pull a weak strawman.
The federal reserve killed what little hope there was left for a FREE capitalist market.
Usually when I refer to capitalism I'm talking about it in its purest form.
republicans are stupid
Agreed.
And so are democrats, independents, the green party, and every other political party.
that's capitalism
you just invented some random definition of it
adding FREE in front of capitalism doesn't change anything

most countries in the world have this

Somehow I don't think so.

Uhm yes it does?
Do you understand what a free market is?
Perhaps I could have made my original argument more clear..
So I'll rephrase it for you because you want to debate me on semantics, are you too ignorant to come up with a clear argument in favor of the reserve?
The federal reserve killed all hope there was left for the free market in the USA.
What I'm saying is a national bank cannot exist if there is to be pure capitalism.
[editline]11th January 2011[/editline]
most countries in the world have this
Reread that definition for me will you?
Are you trying to prove yourself wrong?
well uh
free market means a market working via competition
if free market doesn't exist, then explain how intel and amd operate i would really like to know
what i'm arguing is that the national bank has nothing to do with anything relating to the free market, you're just easily fooled because no-one can reach that conclusion logically
Somehow I don't think so.
The federal reserves tentacles seep into all aspects of private business and commerce. How can you say that the federal reserve has nothing to do with the free market?
You're incoherent and illogical, sounds to me like you're trying to argue with me with no base to begin with.

Tell me because it is becoming more obvious, do you know what the federal reserve is?
yeah it's a central bank
issues the currency, regulates the money supply and controls the interest rates in a country.
do YOU know what it does, because that has nothing to do with a free market hombre

I really honestly can't tell if this is sarcasm anymore.
Those all have to do with the free market.. come up with a better argument next time.

Seems like a harsh personal attack. My political views/avatar are irrelevant to a debate about the Federal Reserve.

Does that mean you glorify a mass murderer?

Maybe no one wants capitalism in it's purest form. Maybe it doesn't work.

They aren't? Don't pull the ad hominem card on me.
I wasn't even referring to the federal reserve in that post I was talking about you simplifying stupidity down to republicans.
Your political views are VERY relevant if we are to discuss ignorance and stupidity.
And no I know your avatar isn't just cosmetics, I remember some of your posts, you are a genuine marxist or socialist.
That my friend is stupidity and ignorance in the most supreme caliber.
Do you ever consider your surroundings.. full of technologies and advancements that could have never existed in a world ran by your hero?
Have you ever studied the red terror and the deaths that followed?
Do you even have the simplest idea of what it was like to live in the Soviet Union? Do you have a Russian family history?
If you answer yes to any of these questions and are still communist... you are a down right idiot and savage.
I bet you're going to try to blame communism's failures on Stalin aren't you?

We've never had it though.

How exactly do those things take the "free" out of free market
stop talking about communism it has nothing to do with this answer the question
Strider, Marxism is different from Stalinism
If anyone believes repealing this law will cause room to be made for a new GOP supported bill, you're a fucking idiot. The GOP just wants to repeal it to score points from misinformed Americans, like always. Fuck politics.

Doesn't matter anyway, it won't get repealed and the GOP is just wasting time and money by trying.

How is government manipulation of capital and credit part of the free market?
[editline]11th January 2011[/editline]
Strider, Marxism is different from Stalinism
I realize this.. one is just more shit.
Read my post I even alluded to this near the end.
The problem of Health Care is, no matter what you do, someone gets screwed, so the people that do get screwed find it in their best interest to piss and moan until something is done. When the government gets tired of their pissing and finally change something, someone else gets screwed, and the process repeats.
If we decide to implement Universal Health Care, we end up with lost jobs. See, the amount of people a company can hire depends on how much they make on selling their service and/or product. With the implementation of UHC, we end up with jobs being lost, as multiple rich insurance companies can afford to hire a larger base of people, where with the government running the healthcare service, we end up with less people being hired. Lets face it, the government is piss poor, and face-deep in debt. They can't afford to hire as many people. To make a long story short, if we have UHC, we lose jobs.
But theres also the other side to the argument. If we have UHC, we improve quality of life. Insurance rates will be generally lower, and such a program will generate fewer deaths due to inability to pay for care. In a general sense, this makes things overall better.
On the topic of whether or not this bill should be taken out, their only true argument for repealing this healthcare bill is that it would require health insurance by the law. But instead of actually revising the bill, they'd rather just scrap the whole thing like an ass, since Obama must be a muslim terrorist demon, and democrats are his little demon babby that eat true Muricans with their newfangle idea of "democracy" and "equality". And they're also lazy.

Well yeah it is his fault
Well yeah it is his fault
So it would have succeeded without him?
Go seek refuge in Cuba then.
[editline]11th January 2011[/editline]
The fact of the matter remains.. there has never been and never will be a communist country that can hold a candle to the standard of living, freedoms, and overall happiness of capitalist countries.
