This country is going to become more of a shit hole if republicans are reelected in 2012.
Different names, but they do the same basic crap. I don't think much is done in the favor of the people as it is usually things done for large corporations. We need independent politicians both party's are flawed, but our media outlets never give independents any attention so they are usually left out to dry. Political party's are just dangerous.
That's why for the interim period you could just have the government absorb the companies, slowly getting rid of them. But that initial step of absorption could be done quite quickly, and wouldn't really be able to be undone.
Considering the problems they had with the "government takeover" myth this time, I don't think an actual government takeover would go down too well
At least by doing this, they wouldn't be seen as just a lite version of the Democrats. Like a certain 7 Republicans.
do you mean the certain 7 republicans who voted for the start treaty?
Oh well?
Democratic Party's public opinion r.i.p.
Hopefully a good first step to passing better legislation. The healthcare reform bill was quite the abomination.
Hopefully a good first step to passing better legislation. The healthcare reform bill was quite the abomination.
It can be improved upon without getting rid of it entirely.
do you mean the certain 7 republicans who voted for the start treaty?
Yep. Those are the 7.
Yep. Those are the 7.
What the fuck do you have against the START reauthorization/expansion? Do you like the idea of the cold war, you fucking idiot? This isn't a partisan thing, this is just about being human and sane, and about seeing what's clear in front of your face. There is absolutely no reason to be against the START treaties.
If the Republicans win 2012 elections, the country is going to become just like Rapture. All hail unbridled capitalism. Some stuff needs regulations no matter what, especially the health care industry. I don't like the law, but it's trying to make health care affordable or prevent people from being denied health care due to the assholes who run the companies.
Yep. Those are the 7.
This is, without a shadow of doubt, the dumbest thing you have ever posted. The last thing either the US, Russia or the world needs is another nuclear arms race. If you think another one of those is a good idea, for the good of mankind go stick your head in a bucket of plutonium.
What the fuck do you have against the START reauthorization/expansion? Do you like the idea of the cold war, you fucking idiot?
You're on fire. [editline]4th January 2011[/editline] Also; fuck republicans.
Yep. Those are the 7.
I really don't see how voting for that makes republicans into democrats.
Up until now I've been the kind of Canadian with the mindset of "The USA is just like us, and how they go about their politics is their choice, I won't protest." Reading this just filled me with rage. Your politics are TERRIBLE, you have mindless zombies doing stuff only because the rest of the party automatically thinks they have to be opposite the other. And in this case, because of that it could cost the nation an undeserving jump back to barbaric private health care. So, quick fix: Dissolve the Republican party and also Fox News.
Ohh I don't want another nuclear arms race. I just fell into Lambeth's trap. All I was trying to do was identifying the 7 who kept voting for the same things Democrats were in what looked like they were doing it just for the sake of "bipartisanship", not because they thought it was the right thing to do. Do I want another Nuke race? HELL NO! I just feel that when it comes to the START Treaty, we could of gotten something better.
Bipartisanship isn't necessarily a bad thing you know.
How do you think it should've been improved? Allowed the US to keep more nukes? Because that would go over soo well with the Russians.
also perhaps you should get used to the idea that not all republicans are carbon copies of each other who have the exact same ideals and voting habits.
At least by doing this, they wouldn't be seen as just a lite version of the Democrats. Like a certain 7 Republicans.
You know compared to most European politics, your left wing is more center-right and your right wing is a bit mental.
Idiots. We need a universal healthcare system, Poor people are dying for no reason, Just because they don't have the money to go to the doctor, I know this because my parents are some of those people.
we do need healthcare, but a federal system will never work. we need a state based system and or a revap of medicare and medicaid. My biggest issue is that you should not being introducing programs like these in a economic depression.
You know compared to most European politics, your left wing is more center-right and your right wing is a bit mental.
Shhh, that much global perspective can cause Hemorrhaging Butthurt in some people.
You know compared to most European politics, your left wing is more center-right and your right wing is a bit mental.
Yep, 100% agree here, which makes it funny when I hear stories coming out of the states where Obama is being called a Socialist/Commie. Makes me laugh at how childish the US political system is.
Bipartisanship isn't necessarily a bad thing you know.
When done for the right reasons, I agree. but bipartisanship just for the sake of bipartisanship isn't and can lead to stuff outside of congress like the Tea Parties to happen.
Yep, 100% agree here, which makes it funny when I hear stories coming out of the states where Obama is being called a Socialist/Commie.
You know compared to most European politics, your left wing is more center-right and your right wing is a bit mental.
Only a bit mental?
