But it's still not a Nexus7: What we know and what we don't know about the upcoming iPad mini
Win8 has improved over Win7, and majorly.
But there are some things that can't be fixed properly. Adobe products don't scale at all for example
So what would that mean for someone trying to use Photoshop or Flash on a high density laptop/desktop?

That's why I previously said high resolution isn't everything when it comes to Laptops or tablets.
Work based PC's, sure. But for now it's not much more than a gimmick at the moment on anything else.

If it is priced cheaply ( $199-299) like the Nexus 7, people will wonder why ipods are so damn expensive.
If it is priced expensively ( $350-450) why is it almost as much as the regular ipad.
Oh gosh I'm sorry, I misinterpreted what you said. I thought you were saying that the $299 point was too close to the normal one, not that a higher one would end up being too close. OK yes I definitely agree with that point, it'd be far too expensive to justify its existence if it was $350-450.

You do bring up a good point about this. the highest ipod is the cheapest ipad. they really have created no room for pricing.

Yeah, they are on a very slippery slope right now.
Come in at the same price as an ipod or come in at a price near the ipad.
Regardless this will give more than enough evidence that the ipod touch has been overpriced for a looong time now.
Once again guys, this is total speculation. Apple has never said anything about the iPad mini, and yet its expected to go on sale in 3 weeks? Fat chance

Also, confirmed feature: IT'S GONNA BE SHINYYYYYYYYYY!!

Except parts have been showing up all over the place, which makes this at least somewhat plausible.

Keep in mind this stuff has been happening with the next gen consoles too, and yet those aren't coming out any time soon
1024x768 is definitely the most logical choice of resolution for this. The first iPad used it, it scales nicely with the iPad 3's resolution, and introducing a foreign resolution (on top of the iPhone 5's) would just be stupid.
I got an iPad mini five years ago, whats the buzz all about?
