I somewhat presumed this being the explanation.
I was starting to get worried for a second, when it was told that it's old. Thanks OP. EDIT: Thanks Turnips, thought it was fake as well.
See, this kind of stuff isn't so rare. [editline]5th January 2011[/editline]
I was starting to get worried for a second, when it was told that it's old, and fake. Thanks OP.
Old yes, fake no.
This sounds plausible, actually. I'd have to research into it some more, so I'll eventually post my argument against it in this thread.
oh so obviously something has disrupted the blackbird specific magnetic field and in about five or so places around the globe Come the fuck on.
Man didn't realise how fucking old this was.
can any british confirm if one landed in their tea and if so, did it ruin the drink
I am deeply offended.
oh so obviously something has disrupted the blackbird specific magnetic field and in about five or so places around the globe Come the fuck on.
It's the CIA man, I'm tellin' ya! :tinfoil:
The whole thing with the chinese working out how this happened sounds alot like this: http://www.creepypasta.com/self-preservation/ [editline]5th January 2011[/editline] I mean seriously just replace the meteor with the poison gas that was supposedly released, oh god.
Another source from the BBC, again from march 2010 http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/somerset/8560398.stm
Uh. Is the source from google translator? [editline]5th January 2011[/editline]
Hyderabad (Hyderabad), a company in 2012,
What the fuck
We're next.
Fuck this, I'm in charge of my own destiny! :suicide:
more shit from B movies and assasins creed. well its very unlikely the poles will shift around into mini poles and wipe out all civilization with EMP waves just because a few birds flew around. i havent heard of all these animals dying at once until i entered general discussion. but really, its highly unlikely the earth will spaz up the poles and create mini poles when we already have a very strong magnetic field and gravitational pull. i saw the film "the Poles" it wasn't good and was full of bullshit. and so i don't believe for one second that this is true
If this was true then it would be more than just blackbirds.
I am not sure how a magnetic field can kill animals. You can float a frog in one. That translation sucks.
Yeah, the news people are going to be frontpaging any weird animal deaths now because they know people will assume it's related
It's as bad as when Haiti happened and all Earthquakes were considered news.
Yeah, the news people are going to be frontpaging any weird animal deaths now because they know people will assume it's related
Then why did the first few get so much attention. Your theory implies that usually these don't get frontpaged.
I am not sure how a magnetic field can kill animals. You can float a frog in one. That translation sucks.
It fucks up their navigation so they get lost and this leads to them crashing into each other. This also makes them panic increasing heart rate so over time it fucks up their bodies and then they fall and die from fatigue and heart attacks.
Then why did the first few get so much attention. Your theory implies that usually these don't get frontpaged.
The first few were genuinely kinda creepy. Now there are the ones about the pelicans (which were nothing like the originals, they had all kinds of wounds and were horribly mutilated and there were only like a hundred or so of them), the ones in Sweden (again, when it was only a hundred or less) and the ones in England, which was almost a fucking year old (and again, only like 75 birds died).
It's sorta norm in the fishing world to know this type of stuff... Sheephead will not dig cold water, and being the fact their bottom feeders in river beds ain't helping them all that much.
Everyone's trying to tie these unrelated deaths into the weird circumstances of the first few to make it seem worse than it really is.
If this is really the end of the world, us atheists are seriously fucked... :v:
I think it has something to do with the oil spill
I suggested the same thing to a friend this morning, doesn't explain the fish though and why it's only affecting those damn black birds.
The only fish which are being accounted for are generally species of bottom feeders, and small feeder fish. The most probable cause of death is a very well known thing which is shared between sheepheads, and panfish... Sudden Change. Sheephead, and panfish hate it. If you goto the great lakes after the lakes begin unfreezing you'll see a huge wave of dead sheephead, and perch hit the beaches.
It fucks up their navigation so they get lost and this leads to them crashing into each other. This also makes them panic increasing heart rate so over time it fucks up their bodies and then they fall and die from fatigue and heart attacks.
Is that a theory or a fact?
Is that a theory or a fact?
I'm taking an initiative from my knowledge of Electromagnetism and its effects on avians.
Is that a theory or a fact?
It's a fact, birds and many other animals use magnetic fields for navigation.
Where did it say that they "fell from the sky" ? This seems completely unrelated to the blackbirds dying.
Yes because 5 different species of birds dying all around the planet are completely unrelated to each other.
