o shit o shit we gunna be poor all fun aside that's really fucking weird
Just one species of fish? That's really weird. I hope this doesn't just fade away and we get a definite answer.
Episode 3 viral campaign
The plot thickens!
Swamp gas. Nothing to see here.
I was just up there for Christmas, and last time I checked it was snowing flakes. Not fucking birds
those arent flakes those are ashes
those arent flakes those are ashes
Wouldn't surprise me.
Secret military weapons testing :tinfoil:
I don't think it would be pollution as like the article said, that would kill more than one species. My knowledge on fish diseases branches about as far as basic aquarium stuff as I do not have a PhD yet; I know that many diseases are species specific. A parasite could do it also as they have specific hosts, but I'm sure the scientists could have found that fairly quickly. I guess the only possible way it could be pollution would be if something spiked within the system and stressed out this species of fish, as every species has a different tolerance to pollution. Though I see that as unlikely. I'd put money on disease or parasite.

i reckon aquaman was throwing them at birds and just has bad aim
Well it is Arkansas.
5000 birds? I thought it was a thousand? 100 000 fish? My god, if it is a flu, then it isn't only contained to fish. If it is a disease and it infects humans... well, my god.
Fish flu is going to be really stupid.
100,000 Drum Fish? Normally I wouldn't freak out, but this just seems way to odd that other fish species are managing to evade whatever is attacking the drum fish.
At least it only killed the really ugly fish. It looks like a fucking unicorn
It's BP at it again guys. First BLACK birds die. The same color as oil. Now DRUM fish are dead. The same containers that oil is carried in. We must follow this pattern.
I just wanted to say, I thought that was a good post.

It's 2012 soon so there's your answer.
Yeah and so does every other movie out there.
I forgot to say, it predicted it would be in 2011.
Red and blue are not numbers.
They aren't? Fuck there goes all those years spent repeating the first grade.
It's 2012 soon so there's your answer.
They also said 2012 would be a massive earthquake, and that the planets will align. Now if Wikileaks can answer this problem.
My dad brought up a good point about this... Drumfish (A.k.a Sheep Head) are mainly bottom feeding fish. When bottom feeders generally die it's usually from a lack of oxygen in deepers water or a deadly algae at the bottom of the water. It would explain why drumfish are dieing over other sport species. As for explanation fo why birds are dieing... I'm not exactly sure, but if I had to place any bets I would ask if their is any nearby factories to where the birds are dieing. They could of gotten use to the climate not having any smoke in the air, and probally would of drop dead from a sudden change after new year.
Weird shit, but I lol'd at this pic
Motorists stopped and gawked at hundreds of dead red-winged blackbirds on a highway in Pointe Coupee Parish, La., Monday, just days after residents of Beebe, Ark., saw more than 1,000 birds fall from the sky on New Year's Eve. On Monday, state biologists were gathering up some of the approximately 500 blackbirds and starlings that lay dead along Louisiana Route 1 near Pointe Coupee Central High School for testing. The United States Geological Survey has noted 16 incidents in the past 30 years where more than 1,000 black birds have died at the same time, usually the result of tightly-packed flocks flying into bad weather. What's more, more than 5 billion birds die of natural causes in the United States each year, so it is, in a way, unusual that Americans don't witness more major bird kills. Yet the use of improved testing and a state of heightened concern on the parts of state ornithologists is a proper response, even if the two bird kills had not come so close together, experts say. "Birds can be really good indicators of environmental problems, so I'd hate to think that 5,000 would die and nobody would care," says Greg Butcher, director of bird conservation at the National Audobon Society, in Washington. "It's worth investigation to find out what happened because there is potentially something we should worry about and it's potentially something that has an odd, but benign cause." Americans have theorized that everything from fallout from secret government weapons testing to UFO collisions downed the birds in Arkansas. But the newly-discovered bird rain in Louisiana is likely to focus more serious attention to the plight of blackbirds now bundled in winter flocks that can number over 100,000 birds. Postmortem tests of birds in the Arkansas incident showed evidence of blunt force trauma to many of the victims, which Mr. Butcher says means that it's likely the birds were spooked by New Year's Eve fireworks and may, in mass confusion, have run into cars and houses. Since blackbirds are considered a nuisance by farmers, the mass death in Louisiana could be attributable to a legal pest control effort. Pest control experts kill blackbird roosts in several ways, including spraying water on birds to induce hypothermia or by using legal poisons. Most such poisons work quickly, but a botched control attempt could mean that birds may have flown away from the roost and died nearby.
http://www.csmonitor.com/Environment/2011/0104/Blackbird-mystery-deepens-more-birds-fall-from-sky-in-Louisiana Maybe wikileaks can find the cause of this :tinfoil:

Secret government weapons testing and UFO collisions are theories for why the birds are dying? What the flying fuck how retarded do you have to be to even THINK of something like that...
Poison seems logical.
I could've sworn the government poisoned the birds because they ate farmers seeds and stuff like that. I remember watching a video explaining this on CBS.. :/ EDIT: That as from 2009.. But still poisoning sounds logical because the farming season is about to start.
