The simple fact is that modern day Scotland is heavily reliant on its north sea oil and gas industry and without a stead stream of money from Westminster the Scottish government is going to have big budgetary problems.
You see the SNP economic blueprint for independence was based on $110 a barrel currently the price for brent oil is around $50 a barrel.

So you see unless the EU is willing the accept Scotland as soon as it leaves the UK and give it around 7.5 billion pounds a year it is going to be a big net negative for Scotland which would mean very deep cuts to its government spending
Us being independent will be a bumpy ride but it'd be just great to be free of the tories. We'll worry about getting back into the EU, the English can concentrate on voting people in that hound the disabled to death, smiles all round.

eh, Britain has been living under austerity for about 7 years now, so idk if that's really a massive worry considering that the policy of the tories is to cut expenditure anyways
Fine. Then you retract your attempt to use Ireland as example of how Scotland will come out of this completely fine?
if ireland can go through it with all of the historical garbage they suffered, then scotland may well have an easier time of it
