Sickening, isn't it? No one needs that many slots
That's not true. There are plenty of reasons one might need a high-capacity toaster. For one, its far more convenient for people who are hungry, because they don't have to stop and reload the toaster after a single poptart has been cooked. It's not fair to punish law-abiding poptart fans with cumbersome and time-consuming restrictions with no proof it will actually help anything.
Banning high-capacity toasters is dumb anyway, because someone intent on doing bad things could just buy 30 toasters. Haven't you ever heard of the New York retoast?
I bet Tom Cruise takes a Pop-Tart with him every time goes out for curry.
The kid only had a poptart! Why couldn't the officer use a taser?
maybe we should keep this in the poptart nuts thread instead of sensationalist headlines

What a sicko. He puts nuts on his poptarts?
How many more children must die before we get appropriate legislature?
Pop Tarts cause obesity, if there were no Pop Tarts then children wouldn't be able to eat them and become fat. America would be a better place without these menaces to our dietary habits. Write your local congressman and demand that they ban this sugary menace, think of the children, how many more need to become obese before we do something about these breakfast "snacks"? You don't need anything more than cereal in the morning to fill you up, you don't need a high-calorie sugary fatmaker. If you enjoy eating these disgusting dangers to society you can find a different foodstuff, for the good of our children, for the good of America, we need to ban Pop Tarts.
I'm tired of these Pop-Tart discussion. It just comes down to you American nuts refusing to believe the evidence wen data is brought up about the effects of Pop-Tart regulation in other countries, thanks to that idiotic eating culture you've got.
Honestly, you maniacs think that the world would be a better place if we all carried concealed snacks on us at all times, even if it's just something like fun-sized chocolate bars.
[sp]Ok, this thread is gold.[/sp]
I'm worried about the risk of people 3D printing their own poptarts to get around the background checks
The issue here is that child was able to get his hands on his mother's poptarts. She should have kept them in a high place so that her son couldn't get a hold of them. That way these kinds of heinous acts wouldn't happen.
Guys I'm worried about North Korea.
They are arming Intercontinental Cereal Bars.
One time someone brought an automatic pop tart to my school, it was terrifying. I swear to god I thought I'd get diabetes. Luckily, the cops arrived before he killed anybody, and he's in custody now. Teenagers shouldn't be able to acquire assault strudels like this, why haven't they been banned yet?
Is anyone actually checking who buys these Pop Tarts? I mean nearly anyone can walk into a Walmart and buy a Pop Tart. No one is doing background checks.
At least law enforcement go through stringent checks before they're allowed to eat Pop Tarts, and even then they do it on duty in a somewhat monitored environment.

Would airsoft poptarts count for background checks? Because in December I got two, a brown sugar cinnamon, and a chocolate to shoot targets, in my backyard, for like the price of a new video game.
My favourite thread of 2013. Only downside is it's made me hungry.
My cousin was sent to Guantanamo Bay for carrying unfrosted strawberry pop-tarts in an airport.
Unfrosted poptarts need to be banned. All it does is make it harder to identify the pop-tart. The airport was lucky it was an unfrosted strawberry poptart. Had an unfrosted blueberry pop-tart had gotten through, a catastrophic event that rivals even the Unitart Dietary Bomber of the 1970s' rampage could've occured.
I am sick and tired of seeing all these school snackings on TV.
We need lower capacity boxes or lower capacity pop-tart packaging, and manage the mental status of all people who own such snacks (Especially apple flavor)
For fucking once I would like to come to a pop tart thread and see a reasonable discussion, but I guess that is impossible. Both sides are two entrenched in their opinions to ever let the other one speak. Why can't you guys see it is acceptable to have pop tarts toasted or cold!

Toasted or cold, either way, they're a menace to society! Stricter regulations, laws, and background checks need to be put in place to prevent any future disasters such as this!
You pro-poptart nuts will never learn, will you?

I agree with registration and background checks, I mean what if you have a history of diabetes or obesity? With a simple background check tragedies like this can be avoided, but I could never favour excessive legislation, especially if the said legislation would take pop tarts away from the hands of law abiding, tax paying citizens.
Remember, if pop tarts are outlawed, only outlaws will have pop tarts.

I have been called many things, but never a pop tart nut. I just would like people to see it is not the pop tart that is dangerous, it is the person holding it. There are many legitimate and fun ways to use a pop tart.

But there are countless more evil and vile ways to use a poptart than there are fun ways. They are absolutely unnecessary for civilised society.
Actually, I feel as though this would be better suited for Mass Debate.
Fact: The hunger of many women could have been prevented if they were carrying a poptart.
I think it's appropriate to post this here.
It's absolutely fucking ridiculous. Toaster strudels end up being healthier in the long run anyway. You could argue that poptarts don't have a hot filling that could potentially end up killing the children but the
protection and safety triggers on the toaster strudels are there to prevent that type of shit.
Toaster Strudels are excessive and unnecessary. You don't need all that icing, its ridiculously unhealthy. You can make due with a poptart.
I don't know about you guys but as a reactionary sensationalist who is scared of his own shadow, I think this is a big mistake. What comes next? What if kids start making machine guns out of slices of bread?
