In my eyes the current discussion in here is not really relevant to the news about ducks and guns.
"xxxxx (insert gun model here) Automatic Conversion" in google. Seriously, I know nothing about guns and YOU are asking ME to source that?
Automatic conversions aren't easy in the slightest. I don't know of people that have access to CNC machines and the proper schematics to create both the receiver that can take an automatic trigger group and said automatic trigger group. I'm also quite sure that with rifles like the AR-15, you need to make changes to the bolt carrier group to allow it to fire in fully automatic. This also requires a CNC machine and the necessary schematics to actually make it work properly.
Unless you think you can just buy it. In which case, I hope you have 20,000 dollars to do it, or you're a Class III dealer.
Automatic weapons are basically out of reach for everyone.
Why suddenly buy right before the legislation?
Couldn't they have bought it much earlier when they wanted to actually collect guns, instead of buying now when prices are rapidly inflating?
This thing called christmas?

No one wants to go there, Swebbonny, you know this quite well.
I don't think many of these buyers genuinely want guns. They are just exploiting the current situation in hopes of making a profit.
No, the same damn thing happened back in 2008. Either way, it's a pretty easy way to generate massive profit.

Nobody wants to debate in a place where facts and statistics matter, silly goose.
What point are you even arguing over, this isn't advancing a position at all
I'm answering the question.
I just don't imagine a cinvilized, peaceful, modern society with a drawer full of guns in every household.
Compared to most other first world nations the US just seems very archaic in that regard.
Actually modern industrial fertilizer is a big problem (environmental killer, limited) on its own so I gotta say Yes but for a different reason.
(I was just mocking you arguments by using them for my point if you didn't get that yet)
at least you are consistently ignorant.
What else are we supposed to discus in a thread about idiots posing with guns?
Plant pots and solar power??
Nobody wants to debate in a place where facts and statistics matter, silly goose.
That's because there's no evidence for more guns = less crime.
Don't even start this shit. Really don't the topic has been beat to death in a dozen other topics. Is there a logical reason to own anything you might have? Is it necessary to have the best and latest tvs, computers, consoles, etc. You surely don't need it to survive, so what is the point right? Its called freedom of choice, people like to be able to buy what they want when they want without the big boys up in government saying so. Most people who have a IQ higher then a potato know that this AWB is ineffective and stupid. Just because one country does it does not mean it fits another country's.
That argument would be fine when dealing with a phone or a skateboard or an Xbox, but when dealing with a device literally designed to end the life of another human being? Come on, now. That's just pathetic. That argument could be used to let people buy nukes or whatever. "Oh no but ~obviously~ nuclear weapons are too far god use some common sense you faggot" sorry where does your argument mention limitations or whatever? Oh wait it doesn't, good going mate.
"People like to be able to buy what they want when they want without the big boys up in government saying so" so exactly what is the government supposed to do if not impose laws defining what people can and cannot do? "Just because one country does it does not mean it fits another country" roughly translated as "omg muh freedoms I wanna do wat I wanna do whenever I want america is da last vestige of the free bluhhhh" oh come on now. If you're gonna fall back on the amendments, which were written, like, a hundred years ago, in a time which was not like the time that we currently live in, then your argument isn't worth the paper it's written on (top tip: it isn't even written on paper, that's how worthless it is).
Disregarding the fact that the second amendment was based around the right to an organised militia owning an assortment of weapons to be used against the government should the aforementioned government threaten the civilian way of life, the whole "oh I should totes be allowed to buy whatever I want" argument is totally bollocks. Get a better argument, please :)
Please enlighten me how a full-auto assault is better for "recreation" and sport than a sport rifle I really wanna learn.
full auto weapons are already banned
jesus christ can you act like you actually know what you're talking about

Posing with guns is an underrated art and part of my freedom to express myself please don't mock it I also do it for recreational purposes. Works best with assault weapons, I can tell you.

Define an assault weapon.
Killuah nominated for the "Most -words-mashed-into-mouth" award.
No, these are my own words. I thought it was quite humerous but if you feel like I washed them into someones(your?) mouth well there's gotta be a reason for that, tight?
But you are free to buy me a new title, of course.
Seriously, people need to stop using the words assault rifle and assault weapon, because they really make no sense in any rational debate. Assault rifles have been banned for decades now and are worth more than some new cars, and assault weapons are no more deadly than battle rifles.
Define an assault weapon.
I seldom define words I use in mocking jokes and I don't want to start now, really.
Killuah you are my new replacement. (You are not too clever).
I will stop posting in these gun threads because I think I am turning friends into enemies.
I seldom define words I use in mocking jokes and I don't want to start now, really.
It seems as though you have given up on arguing
I seldom define words I use in mocking jokes and I don't want to start now, really.
Great, but please define it. You made a mocking joke to make a point, now I want you to define your own statement.
So please, define what an assault weapon is.

you are turning friend into foe, family against family, brother against sister.
it's really terrible and dramatic if i do say so myself.

But you actually know what you're talking about
I may not agree with you but I think you're good at debating
It seems as though you have given up on arguing
Right now I am thinking about people feeling cool while posing with big guns and that makes me a bit scared and a bit amused so I guess you are right but ask yourself the question:
Did you really win the battle when the enemies just turned around and went to bed?
Haha, my dad has collectible guns now for who knows how long.
[sp]if you can argue on the internet you clearly have made it to the top of the foodchain[/sp]

Were you even battling in the first place
it seems like you were just waggling your dick then you shat your pants and started crying
Like you seriously didn't have a single argument that wasn't either ad hoc, straw man, slippery slope or flat out wrong
