:foxnews: DEVELOPING STORY: TERRORISTS STRANGLE THEIR CHILDREN IN SOME KIND OF MUSLIM DEATH-RITUAL, MORE AT 6 :foxnews: I can do this all day
Lets hope you don't seeing how this facepunch news section meme is fucking stupid. It was funny the first time.
Something about drones being away from the battlefield just violates international law.
To many people here seem to hate the USA. They criticize whatever they do and do now want them to defend the country. If most of you were in charge we would all be inviting terrorist to the white house and shooting at our own army.
Although this has probably already been said countless times, I can't help but shudder at the fact that it claims it killed x amount of terrorists, for when all we know is that they are all civilians.

To prejudge to either conclusion is just lazy and inconsiderate.

Predator drones are equipped with the finest in baby skull seeking technology, I assure you there was no collateral damage.
54 are you kidding me how many more can there possibly be in that entire region?
55.
Seems like a rather biased source...
I can't help but feel that the original article is heavily biased. But it's so laden with bullshit I can't tell toward which side. :aaa:
I have suspicious that half of those "terrorists" were actually civilians [editline]19th December 2010[/editline] you know, like in most cases
BAWWWW THEY'RE NO TERRORISTS AMERICA IS AN EVIL WARMACHINE I'D RATHER HAVE AN ISLAMIC DICTATORSHIP BAWWWWW. 54 terrorists less, awesome :)
Don't you find it odd that they killed a large number of terrorists?
www.wikileaks.org
Doesn't really show any information that the majority of people the US Government killed were civilians.
theyre just jealous because their nations arent cool enough to have predator drones and tactical ac-130 packages
Doesn't really show any information that the majority of people the US Government killed were civilians.
Yes it did, 60% of all casualties were civilians. It's impossible that only the insurgents did that. I've seen tons of footage of stupid Americans opening up on civilians. Just like in Vietnam.

Just like in Vietnam.
Guerilla warfare is dirty, the enemy has no established uniform and often disguises itself as a wolf in sheeps clothing. Most of said civilians aid the Taliban because of promises of money, albeit that doesn't give you the right to kill them but it certainly would give enough reason for an american soldier in that position to snap. Its extremely difficult to keep a war like that clean, its extremely difficult to keep any war clean, especially with the paranoia and developing mental issues that most soldiers hold onto for the rest of their lives. Any common village man can be a spotter for a sniper that might be up in a hill brush. Any woman holding a baby could be a potential suicide bomber using semtex under the baby's blanket with a detonator in her hand. Anyone with a cell phone could be triggering a roadside bomb to sabotage a convoy of soldiers. But when America uses it's technological superiority to counter-attack these methods, everyone just jumps the fuck up like a bunch of angry pricks and blames them for doing this and that. Get fucking real.
Because the U.S. is an instant bad guy no matter what it does.
US stays out of conflict: FUCKING US DIDN'T DO SHIT OR HELP US, FUCK THEM THEY ARE BAD PEOPLE! US gets in conflict and helps people: US IS BAD AND WARMONGERING! FUCK THEM! WESTERN TRASH! We really just need to isolate Taliban activity and leave it to the afghan army to replace us when we finally pull out. Maybe then we could focus on Sudan or North Korea, which is where we should be in the first place if we're talking about aiding the world as a whole.
The majority of Afghanis don't like the Taliban.
A study called 'The Year of the Drone" published in February 2010 by New America Foundation found that in a total of 114 drone strikes in Pakistan between 2004 and early 2010 approximately between 834 and 1,216 individuals had been killed, about two thirds of whom were thought to be militants and one third were civilians. The Malayan Emergency, perhaps one of the few guerrilla conflicts "won" by a Western power wasn't done by the superior technology and equipment of the British, but by Gerald Templer's sound doctrine and strategy. Ever read the book War in the Shadows? It shows many problems that the US military still have in the 21st century. Everyone is jumping because, well, technology has only given its users an illusion of victory in assymetrical warfare and the US military can't change.

Like how American troops are forbidden to spend any time outside their bases/MRAPs. The primary objective of the Afghanistan War is now to avoid casualties.
