First of all, it's not an american forum so the right wing of the US is stupidly far right to the rest of us, bordering on insanity. We make fun of it for that reason. The fact is though, that republican doesn't equal an instant dumb. It just usually relates to that because of the content contained within. I JUST showed you a post that proves we don't crush everything republican. Also, you don't know how polling science works AT ALL. And FP isn't a fucking hivemind.
wow holy shit do you not browse facepunch or something, everyone is on an obama bandwagon o right you're that guy from the automotive forum; dexterity isn't your thing i think
I've outright said I'm voting for Romney and I've only got a funny and an agree (on a separate point, of course). The personality differences are on display 24/7 in politics. When you find a way to share an idea while appealing to what people like, everything is fine.
Well then the logical question is why are you voting for Romney? [editline]19th October 2012[/editline]
wow holy shit do you not browse facepunch or something, everyone is on an obama bandwagon o right you're that guy from the automotive forum; dexterity isn't your thing i think
There's no 'Obama bandwagon'. There's people on FP that agree with Obama, people to the left of him who don't, and people to the right of him who don't.
uh, FP is pretty fucking liberal and smashes on anyone with conservative views, fuck are you smoking
Facepunch is Center-Left, Democrats are Center-Right. Is it really any surprise that Republicans get shat on all the time here?
Well then the logical question is why are you voting for Romney?
The main things are that I'm not big on Obamacare, and Romney best represents how I feel about most issues. Governor Romney's now-famous 47% comment is something I agree with and have believed for a little while now. I feel many misunderstand what the statement was, and won't agree unless they share a similar mindset. I'm big on getting people to work instead of helping people that "can't" work, most of this coming from my childhood and what I've experienced. My mother has what she calls an "Obama phone", and it bothers me to no end. While Governor Romney's plans appear a little dubious at times, his mindset is what has earned my vote. There was also a point where I could have been swayed to vote for President Obama, but the twisting of the 47% comments confirmed my vote for his opposition.
I hate how elections have turned into essentially 50/50. Democrats will always vote democrat and republicans will always vote republican. What happened to landslide victories for a side regardless of political party?
Facepunch is Center-Left, Democrats are Center-Right. I have never been there. Yes, I've read a lot. And if you haven't noticed something about FP, is it's not a website that comes from countries that pull highly right wing thinkers in. So, that's why it's more left than it is right. That doesn't make it a hivemind of leftist activity. You seem like you're not going to read my posts entirely, and that you're not going to reply with an argument, just a repeated point you hope will make me agree with you.
yo its just florida (2nd worst state). Obama is winning nationwide
http://www.gallup.com/poll/election.aspx That ain't what Gallup is saying. EDIT: Note that at the time of posting, Romeny is leading in both of their polls. I'm just to lazy to screencap it.

It's people who refuse to work who take it that are wrong. And those are outliers and not the norm. A lot of people with it don't want to be on it, and want to get off of it. There's things that will go wrong and many people who haven't chosen or done anything wrong to end up in the place they've ended up in. Not everyone is given control of their situations enough to change them sufficiently.

I'm not particularly knowledgeable, though I have enjoyed talking about it.
Facepunch isn't anything. We may have a lot of users that lean in one direction or another, but that does not make Facepunch anything.
Facepunch itself isn't, much of the population is.
dude, if anyone says anything against obama, they get showered in dumbs. This is fact.
dude, if anyone says anything against obama, they get showered in dumbs. This is fact.
k let's test this Obama has been extremely weak on Wall Street reform.
Amplar, you do realise that it's mainly because when people say something obviously negative against him, 90 percent of the time it's superstition and lacks any merit or evidence.

[editline]19th October 2012[/editline] obama please cant you just go super sayain and win this thing now or something i cant live like this checking the polls every thirty minutes
It's sad I don't really care all that much for Obama as a president but I don't think he's terrible or anything. Could be better, and he's not exactly done things super smooth and as planned, but he's not done anything that is really bad for the well-being of the country, and a few good things too. But fact of the matter is, it's completely obvious just how greasy and slimey of a politician Romney is to anyone who has any level real educated awareness on politics. Yet he gets tons of supporters, and has a real chance of being president, simply due to uneducated masses who know nothing of politics or this man they want to vote in as president. Just automatically siding with the republican candidate, and eating up extremely biased news sources as their only input of political information (Fox News). Like, it's painfully obvious people who are voting romney in this election in my state (Ohio) have absolutely no idea why. They still think Obama is not a legal american, they still think "obamacare" is a bad thing that is "socialst" and "socialism = USSR, WE R GUNNA BE POORS!!"), they fill thier yards full of reallllly dumb signs like "OBAMA: YOU'RE FIRED! FOR YOUR RECKLESS AND IRRESPONSABLE LEADERSHIP [really? in what way?]" I can't honestly find a single republican/romney supporter here who LEGITMATELY is supporting Romney in a level headed manner, that is doing it for X reasons that are at least somewhat factually backed up, or whatever, and/or humbly showing thier support of him and his policies. No. Every single one so far has been the extremely ill-informed "I don't even know what politics are" type of person, who puts really brain-cell killing stupid signs all over their lawns and must SCREAM at the top of their lungs that Obama is literally the devil. It makes no sense. The worst part is? There's a massive amount of people who are like that here. Hardly any "obama" signs on the lawns, or even signs just saying "Romney/Ryan 2012". A vast majority of the "political jargon" being thrown around where I live is the pure sensationalist pro-corrupted republican campaigns.
dude, if anyone says anything against obama, they get showered in dumbs. This is fact.
Not true at all and you should know that if you actually read ITN more than once a week. Seriously, just because they have complaints that aren't dumb do not mean all complaints aren't dumb. Fucking horrible logic you have. And you still haven't refuted or said anything of any value besides that you're objectively right.
CNN has a bias towards the right nowadays. They are terrified of FOX saying that they have a 'liberal bias', so try to say that it's a tie when it clearly isn't. They said that it was a tie between Obama and Romney in the second debate, even when it was clear by pretty much everyone that Ovama won by several points. This is why you take this with a massive pinch of salt!
How the fuck is that even possible... I am so confused
k let's test this Obama has been extremely weak on Wall Street reform.
Amazingly enough, Amplar's incredibly dumb misconception turned out to be false.
America, what the fuck are you doing.
Electing a president, what does it look like
You must be living in a swing state, my friend.
Yeah its awful I can't do anything without running into political ads At least in the 2008 election there was a good balance between sane republican and sane democrat support. Now it's almost 80% batshit-insaneo republican support coming out of the wordwork, desperate to "stop obama at any cost" for absolutely no real reason at all.
The ads have even transported themselves into F2P games.
The political colors in the polls are messing with my head; here in Euyrop red typically means 'left' and blue 'right'.
Yeah but which party will actually get their ass out of bed and vote
Discouraging. Florida's block of electoral votes has a habit of swinging elections. Stupid electoral college.
Facepunch isn't anything. We may have a lot of users that lean in one direction or another, but that does not make Facepunch anything.
the thread where we all did the political spectrum test, everyone was either ultra-left or centre-left not that that means anything whatsoever
Romney can pickup Florida and still lose. Example:
That electoral map's amazing - it's like the USA's two entirely different countries in political opinion.
