I like how everyone's saying it's going to be absolute shit without recognizing that Angry Birds is still a fairly relevant IP - almost all of the games are well-received. Plus, it's being directed by the Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs guy and someone involved in Wreck-it Ralph and Frozen.
Not to mention, it's a kid's movie - the audience isn't exactly hard to please.
I bet it'll do okay. It's not going to be a Toy Story, but I really doubt it'll crash very hard, especially considering that Smurfs made over 5 times its 100 million budget and warranted a sequel.
Made me think it was directed by Lord and Miller. I would be cautiously optimisitic if it was.
Sequel!
Oh who am I kidding, it'll get a sequel regardless.
The day the commercials for that stopped appearing was the best day of last year.
Of course it deserves a movie. Angry Birds is perhaps today's definitive Neo-luddite manifesto. A saga wherein the birds, peaceful and prosperous in their agrarian utopia, are forced to contend with the greedy piggies, who, never content with their decadent industrialized lifestyle, covetously plunder the very future generation from their neighbors. With naught but the strength and cunning nature gave them, the birds reduce the prideful piggy creations to rubble, revealing thier folly.
This seems more promising than Tetris, since at least the birds of the source material have facial expressions which could be extrapolated into personalities.
I'm still contemplating the fact, that it has a Tv show too.. WHY?!
It's the same thing as the fucking Grumpy Cat movie coming out next month instead of 2012
I'm sorry what
Plus, it's being directed by the Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs guy
Can we get Bruce Campbell as the head of the pigs in this movie?
Disappointed that it's a comedy

A psychological thriller Angry Birds might be something to see.
Angry birds creator is a genius.
Make something you hardly care about or even really matters, it blows up, you dont really care so you just let anyone do whatever as long as they give you money.
Seriously id give my shitty iphone game as many movie deals as people wanted as long as I got money, hell id let someone even make an angry birds porno if it was mine.
Dress people up as the angry birds and shoot them from slingshots into an orgy.
Don't know if anybody else knows this, but Smosh is starring in this film.

I'd watch it.
This franchise has been pushed in every direction imaginable obnoxiously hard. Who the fuck is going to go and see this? All the idiotic merchandise everywhere I can sort of understand but do they seriously think that this movie is going to work?
To be honest I would be surprised if this movie wasn't succesful, i'm sure a ton of kids will want to see it. They're the target audience after all
Peter Dinklage what are you doingggg
A tetris movie?
What the fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck
Peter Dinklage what are you doingggg
It makes sense that an actor with dwarfism would go into voice acting but I wish he would do some better roles.
Are you fucking kidding me?
Rio 3
I wonder if Peter Dinklage just doesn't give a shit anymore.
I can definitely see Peter Dinklage as the eagle.
I'm not sure how this is so surprising. Excessive merchandise and sequels is pretty much how Pac-Man and Mario became staples of pop culture.

I think what frustrates people about Angry Birds is that Mario and Pacman were revolutionary titles that were amazing for their time, while Angry Birds is a flash game ripoff with mindless gameplay and annoying sound effects that inexplicably gained incredible popularity (possibly through aggressive marketing).
Peter Dinklage what are you doingggg
You realize he's been in shit movies before, right? Remember Underdog?
I wonder if Peter Dinklage just doesn't give a shit anymore.
From what I remember from his interviews, he said he would take any acting work that isn't a midget joke.
So, how long till we get Flappy Bird: The Movie?
A tetris movie?
What the fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck
by the fucking FoodFight guys no less
Based on Peter Dinklage's shitty performance in Destiny he'll probably phone this in too.
Who the fuck is going to go and see this? Do they seriously think that this movie is going to work?
Pretty much, all the kiddies are going to watch this and it'll hit the top of the box office because "Muh angry birds". Just watch
Honestly, the yellow and black ones look sorta okay, but the red one is just bizarre looking.
So wait....BOTH Tetris AND Angry Birds are getting movies?
WHO THE FUCK COMES UP WITH THESE IDEAS!?
What if...
they're the same movie
Angry Birds vs Tetris: the riveting motion picture
So, how long till we get Flappy Bird: The Movie?
