Also there's a lot happening behind the curtain the public cant see to protect the investigation. Like other than mueller idk any other agents name working on it to say the least.
They have thousands of pages, hella witnesses, and testimony and they have to process and triple quadruple check it. It takes time because if you go after the president on paper you need to do it perfectly.

Do you understand how plea deals work? To receive a deal, you must offer up sufficiently damning testimony, in a statement called a "proffer," [I]before[/I] they will offer you a deal. Furthermore, they aren't going to offer a deal at all unless the information you are presenting helps lead to the conviction of a more important target in the chain of command than yourself, or else sweeps many other equal or lower level people into your conviction pile so that they, too, could be flipped.
Basically, this deal would [B]not[/B] have been made if all Flynn had to offer was more evidence on Flynn, evidence on some unrelated third party, or evidence on some schmuck lower in the food chain. The [B]only[/B] people in the chain of command that Flynn could have offered up information on to get [B]this[/B] juicy of a plea deal is Donald Trump, Mike Pence, or at least several key member's on a similar level of importance as Flynn himself was, of which the list of potential targets is pretty small.

It’s not hopelessness, it’s realism. Nothing will happen because it simply won’t. I’m not saying give up and stop fighting, but instead of putting blinders on and chasing after a few supposed leads confirmed by according to those familiar with it, why not look for a better candidate? Why not start bombarding local dems to look for new and better legislation? Why not support Bernie-esque people and push for a general acceptance amongst democrats?
Expecting this to be the one and only thing that stops trump is what’s hopeless, since that means you have no faith in anyone else

It also completely unravels every statement of ignorance, uninvolvement, and innocence made by Trump and his cronies. Flynn's testimony here is a smoking gun held firmly in the president's hand.

I think this investigation is a load of hokey and I’m really scared that people are putting way too much faith in this, and have no fallbacks amongst the Democratic Party other than saying “I’m not Trump look at me!”. If this investigation falls through and nothing significant happens, the Republicans will absolutely eviscerate the Democrats for years to come .

The Dems aren't pulling "We're not them" politics as far as I can tell, their decisions are questionable but the investigation and the democratic party are two separate entities.
