Don't know about you guys but I can't wait for the day that I wake up and see the words "Trump resigns as charges filed" proudly displayed in size 8 font at the bottom of the Fox News website
Fox wouldn't even do that little. They'd forgo any mention of it at all until they can pretend it's stale old news. The first headline to even indirectly reference Trump's fall will be something like "President Pence declares June 23rd 'Ten Commandments Day'" or some fluff piece like that (assuming Pence doesn't fall with Trump).
But if that day comes, couldn't trump just resign before the shitstorm and get immunity?
Resigning doesn't grant you immunity from anything, in fact it's (generally thought to be) required for a President to leave office before charges can be brought against them Nixon got away with it because Ford pardoned him - an incredibly unpopular move that is believed to have contributed to Ford failing to win re-election. No idea whether Pence, or whoever is left, would do that for Trump
But if that day comes, couldn't trump just resign before the shitstorm and get immunity?
Simply resigning doesn't grant immunity from civil or criminal prosecution. It technically makes you immune to impeachment, because all that does is remove you from office, but that's not a relevant point. Nixon was still facing charges after he resigned - it was only when President Ford issued him a pardon that he became safe. Trump is disliked enough by his own party that I don't know if Pence (or whoever actually becomes President) will give him a pardon.
Nothing to worry about. It's just a counter-intelligence probe.
It's not surprising in the least that he still won't admit this is a criminal investigation
Holy shit The future finally looks bright and hopeful
Watch as they desperately try to cut all ties to Flynn now and try to discredit him
Wait, have they stopped worshiping their god? Where's the usual distraction?
Fox news had Hillary as the top story for a while
Wait, have they stopped worshiping their god? Where's the usual distraction?
I suspect it might be a case of either A) Too newsworthy to pass up, B) They know the jig is up and are trying to downplay their support, or both.
Had a look over on t_d to see how they're handling TRUNEWS accepting Flynn's predicament. They are, and have been all day, flooding the first page with dog whistling about the not-guilty conviction for the illegal immigrant charged with murdering a good American woman. This is the only Flynn headline I found on the first page:
Michael Flynn charged with misleading investigators once during a meeting. Hillary Clinton lied over 36 times in 2 hours
"Michael Flynn did a bad thing BUT HILLARY!!!!" :conspiratard: Hopeless.
I'm extremely fearful that some war is going to be declared to distract and derail from this.
Nothing to worry about. It's just a counter-intelligence probe.
There is actually a clause in the authorizing documents for Mueller's appointment that allows the special counsel to prosecute federal crimes arising from the investigation. Aside from that, you are more or less correct -- this is the same probe FBI Director James Comey started up in late 2016/early 2017.
I'm extremely fearful that some war is going to be declared to distract and derail from this.
North Korea seems like it would be the most likely candidate for a campaign, but it doesn't seem like that would be effective at all. I'm more worried about the response to Russia after this is over.
I'm extremely fearful that some war is going to be declared to distract and derail from this.
Remember when Trump bombed a Russian base in Syria to distract everyone from his dirt and corruption for a week and give Fox News some tomahawk missiles footage to jerk off to? Youre not wrong to be scared.

In light of the "Former Obama Administration official" defense, reminder that Trump seriously considered picking Michael Flynn as his VP. http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/donald-trump-vetting-gen-michael-flynn-potential-vp/story?id=40462921

You make the call, people.

I don't give a shit that you can't tell me the truth. I don't give a shit that you cannot state the truth out loud on this forum. What I do give a shit about is that you won't even tell yourself the truth. You backed a criminal.

How do you manage to exist in this reality when you, yourself seem to be a logical impossibility? Why do you continue to disparage this investigation and defend the fucking loon in chief?

If you think back to the beginning of the presidential debates, Fox as an organization was absolutely not in bed with Trump.

It's a counter-intelligence probe, not a criminal investigation. Mueller's not systematically isolating and flipping every key component of this administration against Trump because he's conducting a strategic criminal investigation aimed towards ultimately toppling the President himself for his crimes against the country, utilizing the same tactics that an investigator would use to take out a high level criminal syndicate -- he's just poking around to see what Russia's been up to, and accidentally keeps stumbling onto unrelated crimes.
You can tell it's not a criminal investigation because people are being charged with crimes.
is there any confirmation of the ABC story from other reporters? brian ross has a really bad history of being wrong and all the other sites are using ABC as a source

[t]https://puu.sh/yxqsY/ae7dfad425.png[/t] This couldn't have been more perfect. ------- I'm curious to see the twitter shitstorm that's brewing.

Now he got Flynn.
I'm extremely fearful that some war is going to be declared to distract and derail from this.
There would probably be riots if Trump started a war at this point.
