Did VAG put a raw fuel dump in the intake manifold or something? That just doesn't sound right, even for a V6.
I'm running a much more aggressive tune, more boost, etc. The loss of mileage is mainly my own doing, but even still it's affordable as a daily. I'm not looking forward to $4+ per gallon again, back before prices dropped I was paying $70 to fill my tank.
But you drive a moped lol

Still have my man card, no need for a moped
Class acts, guys. Nice to see that we get attempts at being economical and environmentally friendly being met with (serious or not) ridicule.
Why won't non-OPEC countries just ramp up production to take advantage of higher prices?
The producers that stand to substantially profit from that kind of tactic were not big enough to make a difference in global production in the first place. OPEC is able to sway the market because its net production value is +/- 80% of global oil and +/- 50% of natural gas.
Everything is fine. We can just switch to renewable energy in another decade or five.
Try century.
Oh god here comes $5 a gallon again, I was happy with prices right now =(
Unless you're supremely out of shape, a 4 mile bike ride at a leisurely pace is simple.
It is when its not -10 degrees out in ice. I've rode my bike in the winter in university to get around town. It fucking sucks after November until around March. And that was when any ride was maybe a mile max. Only reason I did was because it sucked almost as much to walk two/three blocks to get my car. :v:

I went to a college located on the plains, so the wind would just whip right through campus. Never was riding a bike more of a pain. It was warmer to actually stay outside longer just by walking then taking a bike.
So what Mad Max is IRL now?
We have a helluva lot of untapped oil here in Canada last time I checked. Anyone know if it would be good enough to supply the world demand if it came down to it?
Still have my man card, no need for a moped
it's this kind of attitude that leads to people purchasing unreasonable vehicles for their needs and throwing not only their own money, but also everyone elses futures down the toilet. buy a responsible car that fits your needs, dont buy into this fucking 'hurr im a man i need a muscle car' routine. if a moped gets you by, buy a fucking moped.
I'm so glad I drive a moped I get 90 MPG only costs me 2$ to fill my gallon eat it suckers haha yesssss you all LOSE [sp]except its snowing FUCK[/sp]
Dont you live in Buffalo? How the fuck do you even use a moped in the winter? :v:
From what I recall there is only 1-3 trillion barrels of oil left on Earth, and our consumption is like 90million a day? Even if Canada had half of that oil, our current rate would only sustain us for a couple decades sourced from Canada alone. We don't though, much of the oil is going to get harder to extract and most of it isn't in Canada Probably y'all should verify what I just wrote, it's been a while since I last looked this stuff up but this is what I recall
I was under the impression that our oil reserves are dwindling, but that new sources of supply are coming online nearly as fast. However, a lot of them require processes that are more expensive, dangerous, or environmentally damaging, or all three. Examples being hydraulic fracturing, which is great for oil extraction, but screws with the environment pretty bad. Or super deep offshore drilling, which grows more advanced as the years go on, but the ocean is a dangerous place. I could be wrong, but I thought the major problems were that oil will keep getting more expensive due to the price of extraction, not necessarily because we will run out, with renewable energy hopefully taking over for energy production. Then one must examine ways of producing synthetics and polymer products using plant oils or other renewable sources, which isn't easily done in a lot of products, or simply not possible at the moment.
Can't wait to pay $4 a gallon to fill up a 21 gallon tank, and only get 11 MPG out of it because I can't afford to buy a new car right now. Just kidding, but it was nice to have forgotten what getting raped at the pump felt like, even if it was for a year.
sure am glad I managed to talk my mom into getting a nice little mazda when she bought a new car. that thing is goooooood on gas.
Unless you're supremely out of shape, a 4 mile bike ride at a leisurely pace is simple.
4 miles is a bit under 6.5km. Average human walking speed (note, average) is 5kmh, but a young person could easily sustain 6.5kmh, so you could walk that distance in an hour. 20kmh is a typical city bike cruising speed on a flat surface, where you don't have to exert much effort into staying at that speed. You'd cover the distance in 20 minutes. So, depending on the terrain, yeah. Easily. But it depends a lot on the terrain, admittedly. Probably a lot harder in some big busy American city since you'll have assholes in their F350s trying to run you over.

Man it would be such a pleasure to ride bikes with friends next to lakes and forest just outside cities.
Is finland mostly plain ala Denmark?
If you live on west or south coast it's mostly flat, anywhere else it gets quite annoying But yeah, 4 miles is basically nothing.
