A country buckled by pointless wars and financial crises, struggling with scarcity, widespread unemployment, and purported inequality toward native citizens by an unfairly reviled underclass elects a fanatical, self-interested demagogue to its highest point of office, along with instituting the red party into power.
Does this sound familiar to you?

The thing is though is that Germany was much, much more crippled in their economy and they weren't used to democracy - it was easy to see why they slipped into a dictatorship.
I'm in the "Trump is a moron that will hurt Americans, American and probably a few countries badly" camp, not the "Trump is a fascist" camp.
what
did he pay that
He did, by way of options contracts and those betting websites. He's a day trader though so he's basically a wellspring of shitty ideas and easy money.

Trump is a fascist. Will he make the whole country fascist? No. But you can never trust fashisty regardless of their ability.
Trump is a fascist.
source?
Trump is a fascist.
Oh? In what way?
Trump is a fascist. Will he make the whole country fascist? No. But you can never trust fashisty regardless of their ability.
I would not go that far. I don't think he's going to change the democratic systems of the country (not that America is a particularly strong democracy in the first place however), nor do I see him using violence - he's certainly going to rescind on a lot of rights and make things worse, but I don't' see him being like a fascist.
What I'm more afraid of is him doing relatively nothing and making the economy worse, than everyone gets really pissed and *do* vote in a fascist. Then you're fucked.
HE LIKED THE SPEECH, even though it reminded him of Hitler.
I have no idea what to make of this post
Hitler was a good orator. I don't see the problem. Not everything that brings Hitler to mind is a bad thing; hitler liked dogs. I sometimes pet a dog and think "hitler liked this too". I don't kick the dog after having that thought.

I think you are confusing your own opinions with facts since I see no sources.

Reddit probably
I hate that Fascist has become the new buzzword for angry young liberals. It's going to make finding and taking future movements of LEGITIMATE Fascism seriously so much more difficult in the future.
Like the 1488's or something along those lines

Hitler was a human.
Therefore, all humans are Hitler.
On topic, I really liked the President's speech today. Very simple language, but had a powerful, spine-chillingly patriotic message. Kinda like Adolf Hitler. Props to his speech writer.
Is this what post irony looks like?
It's gonna be a fun four years when it's hard to see the difference between joke and -This is what Donald Trump supporters actually believe-

Personally, I wouldn't attribute my/other peoples thought processes to be like a known mass murdering lunatic though.
you're not even in my top 5 favorite nazis on facepunch
Dare I ask, what is that list?
It's gonna be a fun four years when it's hard to see the difference between joke and -This is what Donald Trump supporters actually believe-
We've already concluded that many would like to be stabbed in the back for the next four years before admitting they fucked up.
I am getting mixed messages from this.
Let me be clearer: it was a nice speech to listen to. There's echoes of the same kind of popular, powerful, but simple language that great orators like Hitler have employed.
Next stop, Le Pen and crimean recognition. Wonder what happens first.
Sweet year its gonna be.
I sometimes pet a dog and think "hitler liked this too".
lmao really

and you find absolutely nothing concerning about that whatsoever

Some hot assumptions there, amigo. For the record I'm not an "angry young liberal". If I was, though, it'd mean I'd at least have more political backbone to make points based on what I believe, rather than cower behind insults like someone who has to take pot-shots by assuming things about people they don't even know anything about.
lmao really
i think "hitler liked this too" when i have coffee sometimes

It seems to me that people are so concerned with being seen as "Hitler apologists" that they refuse to even accept the idea that people might have positive qualities, even if they also have very negative qualities.
Next stop, Le Pen and crimean recognition. Wonder what happens first.

If this happens I'll mail you a $1
It'll probably cost more to mail it but god dammit if that happens you'll get that fucking $1.

I don't think you've made a point in this argument besides "Trump is a Fascist because I think he is"
hitler killed his dogs
he killed his dog Blondi in order to prevent the Russians from torturing her after capture

I feel like I'm one of the few people that actually likes his shitty paintings.

To be fair, Hitler WAS a good public speaker.
