I remember trying Surge when it came out. It was one of the few times I threw something away without finishing it. For the people who actually liked it, I can see that this is a good thing, but it wasn't and most likely still isn't for me.

I assume it's partly due to amazon shipping being baked in, but also due to the smaller production of a rebirth of a product.

I am willing to drop $50 right this very moment, I've spent over $100 for the equivalent of six 12 oz sodas. I neeeeeeeeeddddd it!

I basically grew up with (S)urge and it's pretty ok to be honest, not my favorite soda but I still buy it from time to time. Hell I still got an empty bottle beside me.
