Now I get to mix it with vodka and have home made four loko...
Surge? You mean Urge? It went away? [editline]16th September 2014[/editline]
They should bring back the 1899 bottle, its classy as fuck. [t]http://i.imgur.com/Vi0Qadv.jpg[/t]
Only (18)90s kids will get this.
Why does this remind me of this? :v:
I haven't had Surge since I was like 10... Oh hell yea, I'm getting in on this...
Holy shit, I almost forgot about Vault. Burned so good.
Huh?
Oh god that amazon Q & A section
[t]http://puu.sh/bAXSk/0a9f7b3cf8.png[/t] :v:
lol that answer.
Aaaaahhhhh holy fuck I remember Surge. I've been looking for it for over a fucking decade, I didn't even know it was a Coca-Cola product. I remember drinking it as a kid on the way up my grandparents' house on Lake Sinclair.
Heeeeey, another Georgia pal!
didn't it have such a low cocaine content that you'd have to drink enough to die of water intoxication or something to get a high out of it?
In the beginning, there was a reasonable amount of cocaine in it, but that trickled down to very small amounts very, very fast after criticism of cocaine came about. They still contained a little bit to protect the name "Coca-Cola", though, and at that point you'd be totally correct:
How much cocaine was in that "mere trace" is impossible to say, but we do know that by 1902 it was as little as 1/400 of a grain of cocaine per ounce of syrup. Coca-Cola didn't become completely cocaine-free until 1929, but there was scarcely any of the drug left in the drink by then
http://www.snopes.com/cokelore/cocaine.asp I love Snopes. I've wasted too much time on it.
Surge is currently sold in Norway as "Urge". It has a HUGE market share over here too. Hell, they barely even sell Mountain Dew here and it's expensive as hell compared to Urge.
In Spain we never heard of Surge. The only drink that had a massive advertising wave in the 90s and had a decline here is Trina.
To the people calling it a "failed Mountain Dew clone," you couldn't be more wrong. It was the elixer of DREAMS. It was nothing short of amazing.
I forgot one drink way more extreme than TriNa. RADICAL FRUIT COMPANY. It's called Radical, because it's RADICAL. Just like its advertising. Literally, drinking this shit would murder fruits. It had its boom in the 90s with all the commercials and stuff, which depicted the murder of anthropomorphic fruits like oranges and such. Unluckily, the drink misteriously dissappeared around in the 2000s. It was the competitor for TriNa.
it represented everything that was the nineties in the US
:')
hahaha haha I live in the middle of damn nowhere in Norway, and every store has had this as long as I can remember. [editline]16th September 2014[/editline]
Shipping: Currently, item can be shipped only within the U.S. ok this is why suicide was invented i guess
Or alternatively you could pay me and I'd send you a bunch of it.
They should bring back the 1899 bottle, its classy as fuck. [t]http://i.imgur.com/Vi0Qadv.jpg[/t]
what the fuck happened in 1915
what the fuck happened in 1915
Real bottles have curves
Surge? Didn't that corrode some people's stomach lining?
Surge? Didn't that corrode some people's stomach lining?
Strongly doubt a soft drink would have more acidity than your stomachs acid. I'll go with "no, that didn't happen".
Ah the power of nostalgia. Surge was pretty shitty honestly, but I guess it would be cool for old time's sake.
I dont even remember what it tasted like, i just remember drinking it all the time. :v:
This is actually kind of bad news for me, I found a case of this in my garage a while back and had planned on making a shit ton of money selling it to desperate soda fans. That's too bad.
I wish Pepsi would bring this back. [t]http://www.bevreview.com/wp-content/image_pepsiblue1.jpg[/t]
Didnt they remove that because the things used to make the blue color is like dangerous?
Didnt they remove that because the things used to make the blue color is like dangerous?

It was tinted using Blue 1,[4] a highly controversial coloring agent banned in numerous countries at the time.
That's from the Pepsi Blue Wikipedia entry, but it seems it went off the shelves from disinterest - not the food coloring. The disinterest may have been influenced by the fact that the coloring is banned in multiple countries, but I think it just had to do with overall disinterest.
Pfft. I would like to see a neon bright soda.
