Fuck yeah. I really enjoyed Dirt 2, graphics, controls and driving feel is excellent. Also can't wait for Grid 2.
I thought the soundtrack was OK.
Well, didn't really bother me since i always turn the music off in racing games.
I'm only waiting for the next Trackmania.
Oh god, I hope they get rid of the horrible menu system. It's the only thing that puts me off playing anymore DIRT2, it's functional but oh so fucking annoying and consolized

Yay Dirt 3, more Monster energy drink ads. And Ken needs to Blockoff.
Anything for the ability to race a Group B Quattro. :allears:
Dirt 2 was fun.
I love Dirt 2 (double dipped) but in a way I want to try this out before I buy it. The recent footage I've seen looks a little bit more loose than Dirt 2, so I don't know if I'll enjoy it.
I actually really like the 3D menus it's just that they could be reorganized a bit.
Each to their own :) I feel that a 3D menu system is a good idea but coupled with all the pre-scripted movements like looking from side to side outside every time you go outside it is annoying, would be much better if you just controlled the walking around and the view yourself in my opinion.
Yeah, the 3D grouping of the menus is what got me annoyed the most. Having to go outside for the options, really? Outside, if anything, should've just been "Go to race" and everything else should've been done inside somehow, maybe on a TV.
Nothing beats a simple list menu. I hated when my guy looked around for 5 seconds after each race.
Nothing beats a simple list menu. I hated when my guy looked around for 5 seconds after each race.
Seems quite the paranoid racer doesn't he :colbert:
He's probably scared he might get DiRTy in his bumbum
GRID and Dirt 2 were two of the best racing games I've ever played, I'd be mad not to try Dirt 3 out.
I loved the McRae series and the first DiRT, but then they went all Hipster with shitty music blaring out of your trailer.
If you want a real rally sim go play Richard Burns Rally. As much as I adore and frequently play that game, it's starting to age visually. As long as Dirt3 has more honest rallying with the ability to turn off all the assists, I will be happy. The inclusion of group B cars has almost certainly solidified my purchase.
You do know codemasters published the original colin mcrae games, right?
Their more recent games have been pretty bad. I tried F1 2010 and it was average at best. Their old games are great though [editline]24th April 2011[/editline]
Oh god, I hope they get rid of the horrible menu system. At least dirt 2 attempted to make the event side of the racing part of the game. It's just too bad it was extreme motorsports for tools.

I miss Colin McRae DiRT, not all this Ken Block shit. Ken Block started off awesome, making sweet youtube videos with some genuine talent, but then it all went to his head, and all his latest stuff is just a very clever marketing campaign. The fact that Ken Block is so involved with DiRT 3 is reason enough for me to not buy it.

oh man oh man if they include crazy supporters like group B days (standing in road ect) I will actually jizz
Had lots of fun with Dirt 2. Was the first racing game I have actually bought now that I think about it.
I liked Dirt 2 for the gameplay, but i hated all the asses who would yell at me for hitting them after they cut me off. It was a good game for the price although, seeing as i got it for 20 bucks on sale. I wouldn't mind getting Dirt 3, but not until i see if it'll be a more dirt 1 & 2 style game.
oh man oh man if they include crazy supporters like group B days (standing in road ect) I will actually jizz
That would be amazing. I love watching Rally footage and seeing them all trying to touch the car.
The online sounds amazing, so I'd be keen to try it out in a demo before buying.
The online sounds amazing, so I'd be keen to try it out in a demo before buying.
There are going to be no demo's
oh man oh man if they include crazy supporters like group B days (standing in road ect) I will actually jizz
In the rally events in Gran Turismo 4 people would run out on the track to take photos.
