I am right in the thick of it. Winds are really blowing, although it doesn't look like the snow is coming down in force just yet.

My college wasn't closed, that school doesn't close for anything

Southeastern Massachusetts here, hope we don't lose power, because then I can't play my video games!
Should just call it "The Blizzard: Sandy v2"
Southeastern Massachusetts here, hope we don't lose power, because then I can't play my video games!
How are you faring? I'm on Cape Cod, at first we got a lot of wind, some snowfall, and now it's raining really heavily.
Southern New Hampshire here, I wonder if it's actually true this time Whenever they say this we only end up getting like 6 inches
Same here. Where you from out of curiosity? I'm in Windham. But yeah, so far so good. Just a coating of snow here. People are driving still, but if this doesn't stop til tomorrow, it's gonna be quite a big accumulation of snow.
For once Gamestop does the responsible thing and we all got the word to close our stores at 1pm, and we should be closed tomorrow as well. Nasty stuff comes tonight, so I'm hoping I'll have a chance to shovel some of the stuff today so I'm not breaking my back tomorrow.
well right now outside my window it looks like god is pissing snow out of a garden house and it isn't even supposed to REALLY start until 7
Southern Connecticut here and holy fucking snow
Official declaration from Governor Deval Patrick: any civilian motor traffic on public roads after 4pm. Violators will be arrested and charged with a maximum $1000 fine.
Eastern massachusetts here, wish me luck.

Also apparently the storm is called Nemo [editline]8th February 2013[/editline] AKA snowpocalypse 2013
They should of called it The White Blizzard.

Fuckin snow.. I've been sick as fuck all week and now that i'm getting better it's going to be shit out all weekend and probably shit out for the next few weeks after this shit lame. oh well. chillin' at home here in southern NH. it's usually okay though because of where I live.. I'm right next to a hospital, I've got an elderly care center literally in my backyard (we share a fence between us) and right next to 3 schools, one of which has the sub-station for this area next to it so usually IF we lose power (which is hardly ever) it's usually for a couple hours at worst even the times when seemingly everyone else is powerless for weeks, the longest we've been down is a day and it was during during that Snow-tober snowpocalypse a while back
lol probably going to get 30 inches here please help me
cool, i'll have to trudge through some ankle-deep snow while i go out to get my daily lunch and coffee
Ankle deep? Possibly knee deep depending on where you are.
It'd be really cool to not loose power, but be snowed it. I know that is very unlikely, but it would be the best of situations. I dunno if NH is the same as MA and has a driving ban, but I really want to go out for a little, probably tomorrow, and have some snow drifting fun. I'm a pretty damn good driver, all things considered, and all I got is a shitty front wheel drive Kia Optima, but it should still be a blast, especially if I don't crash in to a snow bank or some shit. I know, I know, dumbass thinking, but still...such a huge temptation. I'm sure most of you would at least consider it.
reporting live from boston: confirming its cold and there is snow
yeah i'm in western mass and they declared a "state of emergency". nobody was allowed on the roads after 4pm and violating the curfew meant potential imprisonment. it's funny because i've seen worse snowstorms in october. obviously it's going to stretch out until tomorrow which means the bulk will occur overnight, but the main highways should at least be accessible. being snowed in is cool though. for a day i don't feel bad about sitting in my room in the dark playing video games while watching the snow accumulate.
The snow's up to the railings on the front steps here in CT. And I'm pretty sure I won't have a trampoline anymore after this :c
