give me a list of countries that weren't
You give me a list.
You give me a list.
you're the one saying something stupid not me
you're the one saying something stupid not me
You're the one claiming all countries were founded on war, now back it up.
give me a list of countries that weren't
The First Czechoslovakian Republic (actually historical name for it) freed itself from the Austria-Hungary after first world war which we did technically participate in, but not hugely, and the war's motives had absolutely nothing to do with our upcoming Republic, even if the war's outcome did make it possible. We were under protectorate of Germany through second world war (and separated from slovakia), but never officially participated in the war as a nation aside of sabotage and our soldiers who managed to fight among RAF and in militias. Later we became a socialist state through somewhat democratic (albeit questionable) elections. Even later, in 1968, our attempt to reform the said socialism peacefully was trampled by Warsaw pact armies, there was no struggle, again. And in 1992, we parted with Slovakia once more, becoming a sovereign state. TL;DR: Since the beginning of it's existence, Czech Republic had basically 5 revolutions or significant changes of state-level functioning in past hundread years, and all of them were more or less peaceful.
I like how the gun-pros jump this thread despite the OP being perfectly neutral about ways to reach "hey lets get less people killed by guns".
This isn't really news. She already used that picture on an album cover: As an anti-gun stance, it's pretty unoriginal.
As an anti-gun stance, it's pretty unoriginal.
yeah i mean come on pfff
yoko ruined the beatles and now she's ruining guns
yoko ruined the beatles and now she's ruining guns
yoko improved the beatles by making them more than just a group of british dudes who stole chuck berry tunes
yoko ruined the beatles and now she's ruining guns
Good for her
Guess who else was shot with guns! Abraham Lincoln! Martin Luther King Jr! John F Kennedy! This MASSACRE CAN NOT CONTINUE ANY LONGER!
John Lennon could have easily been stabbed with a knife in the scenario of his death. If he had been killed with a knife, would the banning of knives be called? Yoko is a bit hypocritical at times anyway, hypocritical enough to not be taken seriously.
isn't turning this into a gun debate bannable now you hypocritcal idiots :downs: [editline]22nd March 2013[/editline]
America knows what peace is? The country was founded on war.
What a load of meaningless tripe.
yoko improved the beatles by making them more than just a group of british dudes who stole chuck berry tunes
By the time Yoko met John they were already at their peak
Come on now, guns don't kill people. Bullets do.
Who gives a flying fuck. If you introduce illegal weaponry as yet another black market in america things are going to be more than monumentally fucked up. If gang culture gets yet another reason to fight for territory.. well, were gonna need a technique for swimming in bodies.
Come on now, guns don't kill people. Bullets do.
Bullets don't kill people. Bleeding does. (In most cases where bullets are involved)
Bullets don't kill people. Bleeding does. (In most cases where bullets are involved)
I'd say its the lack of blood
Guess who else was shot with guns! Abraham Lincoln! Martin Luther King Jr! John F Kennedy! This MASSACRE CAN NOT CONTINUE ANY LONGER!
if only lincoln had a gun he mightve survived
At least she's doing something.
I really don't see how someone could interpret the message as anything other than "GUNS ARE BAD". More so when theres a big issue going on with gun control and all that jazz

And out of those one million people how many were killed through self defense, suicide or defending property? I'm not even pro-guns but Yoko sure does like to try manipulate the numbers.
Over 1,057,000 have downloaded the song "imagine" on the internet since John Lennon was shot and killed on Dec. 8, 1980. Stop the Torrents people ;)
This is so fucking stupid. No one on either side of the argument is actually going to listen to the other side or adress a single point.
