If you leave a 3 year old home alone your a bad parent.
i feel like 95% of the time you can leave a 3 year old alone for 15 minutes without them lighting themselves on fire

It's probably a higher percentage than that even.
So if you don't know anything about African cultures or heritage then why are you telling us what African Americans shouldn't name their children?
I'm not telling you what anyone should be naming their children. If someone wants to make up a name because they like how it sounds, by all means go ahead. But it just annoys me how often people will make up a name and label it cultural when all they did was say the first shit that comes to their head.
It'd be like if I decided to give my son a Norse name in honour of my Norwegian ancestry, and decided on "Edgarhingadingadergisson." It's intentionally being ignorant of the very culture you're trying to protect, and just serves to harm it.

She wasn't trying to stop her daughter from smoking pot, she was trying to stop her daughter from smoking her pot.
hope she doesnt go to jail for this... i mean isn't losing your children enough punishment? It's not like she did it on purpose.. 15 damn minutes
Damnit what kind of shit parent is she she should go die in a fire
I don't think you know what italics are.
Their names were Ky'heir and Dy'heir. Her history of bad parenthood started there.
I also find it fascinating that they had any idea of wanting to or even knowing how to cook ribs. When I was 3, I was happy with dry cereal.
Point is, she shouldn't have left them home alone, regardless of the reason. They're three, they're still in their curious phase and they'll explore. There's a reason why there's a law against leaving children home alone. That said, it's incredibly bad luck that they set themselves on fire, out of everything else they could have done.
Kids do shit like that
I tried to microwave a pizza and killed a bunch of pigeons with the smoke.
She was trying to stop her daughter from smoking pot at a really young age, that seems like a half decent reason to leave, though it is pretty bad to leave your kids at home alone.
but it's not so black and white
Only her daughter stole it from her.
And here's the thing. How hungry were the kids (fucking three years old) if they attempted to make food not only once but twice.
I get that kids do stupid shit. That's why you can't leave them alone.
I'm sure parents leave their children unattended for 15 minutes or more all the damn time.
There must be more to the story.
i wonder how horrifying it would be to burn and then look at your brother burn too right next to you both of you screaming
and you are both 3 years old
I do not think this is all bad parenting, just bad luck. If there was no pot allowed no one would say anything. She could have left for 15 minutes to go run a quick errand or something. No one expects a 3 year old to try and cook something.
What if they had a dog and it got loose and she was chasing it, everything is the same except instead of chasing pot she is chasing a dog.
If I returned home after getting pot to find it burned down I'd probably just turn around and abscond the fuck out of there forever.

snoop dog
This is bad parenting. During those 15 minutes a lot can happen to 3 year olds.

I think most parents leave their children alone for a lot more than 15 minutes and nothing happens to them, these is just a set of unfortunate events.

Can't say, it seems unresponsible. You don't have to be in the same room all the time but you don't take the car or go so far away from home that you won't notice it burning down if you're leaving your 3 year olds.

Not even worst parent of this month.
I put our microwave in the oven when i was like three
i wanted fucking food man
Leaving one 3 year old alone with free reign on a house is an awful idea. Leaving two 3 year old boys alone (no matter how long) is absurdly stupid. I don't even want to imagine the havoc my kid could wreak in 15 minutes. Poor kids had a really shitty mom.
