Like I think I've heard the "they're too old/unhealthy, they could die/get ill in office" shpiel aimed at at least one candidate during every election process I can remember. It's a low hanging fruit to easily get people to nod their heads in agreement and be like yep uh huh too old then the candidate that they had said that about was always still in politics years after their race
