To be fair to the Democrats, its 1) the Republicans who have declared themselves the party of family values and 2) its the Republicans who have actually set a precedent for the Presidents sexual affairs to not only be the public interest, but impeachable.

Yea I feel like it's more a case of holding Repubs up to their own standards. Like frankly I don't give a shit if Trump banged a porn actress, but I do think it's hypocritical as all hell for conservatives to turn a blind eye after the shit they gave Clinton.

i think an underappreciated fact about all these investigations and lawsuits against trump is that they're likely causing a whole lot of stress to.befall the entire administration as well as taking up abgood chunk of their time, keeping them from doing more than they already have

Really only a factor if actual federal crimes have been committed, but at this point I think it's still just a civil case. Can't pardon a civil case, as far as I know.
