• Acting FBI Director, Andrew McCade, has been fired

Yeah, I know you were being sarcastic about it being a good thing, but thought you still meant that he was only being fired to prevent him from getting his benefits. Sorry if I misunderstood you, though!
There's a very good piece on Lawfare about what we know/don't know about McCabe's firing, it makes the point that there were career FBI and Justice officials involved in the decision, including people who were originally appointed by both Obama and Mueller. But the final decision seems to have been expedited for no reason other than to punish McCabe before his retirement. The full OIG report will apparently be released publicly this spring and should shed some real light on this
spare me Trump has publicly lied over 2000 times since he took office. Multiple members of his administration have already been charged (and pled guilty) with lying to the FBI. You have defended it all. And yet, suddenly, we find you pretending to care about honesty and integrity -- despite the fact the McCabe never lied, his statements to the press were made within the line of the responsibilities of his post and made with legal counsel present, and his "lack of candor" under oath massively over-exaggerated, at worst, and outright baloney at best. McCabe is a witness against Trump's crimes. Like every witness, he has been publicly smeared and fired in an attempt to make his testimony That's because this isn't a matter of politics or partisanship anymore, and hasn't been for a long time. Whatever political differences you may have with him are less important than the fact that you both value the integrity of our democracy, the security of our country, the sovereignty of our Constitution, and the rule of law itself and are sickened to see such blatant criminality and corruption at the highest levels of our government threatening those values.
This is frankly disgusting.
I've had just about enough of your bullshit. McCabe is the third and final witness to Trump's alleged obstruction of justice. All three have now been fired under dubious circumstances. This clearly has nothing to do with punishing McCabe's "indiscretion"--itself more the result of the Trump administration's smear campaign than any tangible offense--but is rather an overt attempt by the president to discredit three key witnesses against him in an ongoing criminal investigation of the highest order. Furthermore, the Attorney General himself has just committed a crime by firing a witness in an investigation from which he is recused. Less than 24 hours after the firing of Andrew McCabe, Trump's lawyer is now calling for the Deputy AG, who is also recused, to follow Sessions' example and shut down the Mueller investigation. This is blatant obstruction of justice. We are now at risk of a total breakdown of law and order in the Executive branch. And if that doesn't bother you more than debating the semantics of McCabe's firing, I don't know what to tell you.
Trump's lawyer torpedoed your own point while speaking on record as the voice of the President Reached for comment by email about the firing of former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe, Dowd sent The Daily Beast the text of Trump’s most recent tweet on the subject, which applauded the dismissal.  “I pray that Acting Attorney General Rosenstein will follow the brilliant and courageous example of the FBI Office of Professional Responsibility and Attorney General Jeff Sessions and bring an end to alleged RussCollusion investigation manufactured by McCabe’s boss James Comey based upon a fraudulent and corrupt Dossier,” Dowd then wrote.
It seriously baffles me how far the Trump administration continues to go to cover up the Russian investigation. I mean its like Trump has this mine set that his presidential powers go past the code of law and that he can get away with whatever he wants. I'm just keep wondering how much further he's going to take this.
It's not just "like," his mindset is really exactly that. He has a completely fundamental lack of understanding for the very office he inhabits. As well as the entirety of our government itself. In his mind he's King of America and not the public servant he is in reality. Though in my opinion this entire debacle has made it clear we don't have anywhere near enough fail safes in place. I guess the Founding Fathers hadn't foreseen the pants-shittingly insane scenario of a depressingly large portion of our entire government being complicit in the corruption and crimes of our Stooge in Chief.
The funny thing is, if it was Obama doing even half this shit the Republicans would be foaming from the mouth and calling for a revolution. But since it's Trump doing it, they're falling for the deception that the Admin spreads. It's important to not let yourself fall for misinformation because it confirms your beliefs. At what point do you think "hmm, maybe my guy is wrong here?"
Is he wrong? Only Congress can impeach him, and the GOP has yet once to step up and enforce the rule of Constitutional Law. He's acting like a dictator, abusing his power to bury the investigation into his crimes, but the GOP is letting him do so. Even if/when Mueller recommends charges, it may well have to go to the Supreme Court to overrule a complicit congress.
A complete mess of an administration. Trump's teetering on tyranny.
Has there ever been an administration this blatantly corrupt? I know there have been some historically pretty bad ones but what we're seeing here seems to be downright astounding. I miss having people who seemed to at least sort of care about the country in power.
Nixon never went as far as this guy did, and there's something to be said for when Trump literally took Dubya's place as the worst president in American history.
Do you seriously feel obligated to defend this fuckwit? you're really running out of excuses to defend your so-called God Emperor Tudd... I wouldn't even call them excuses at this point, more like mindless noise.
Here is the simple truth: Donald Trump is a tyrant. He has not yet consolidated the power of government in his hands alone, but he is actively working toward that end. He is intentionally destroying critical institutions and agencies for the purposes of pleasing those who protect and fund him and manufacturing crises to exploit politically. He has gleefully co-opted right-wing media outlets as state propaganda. He attacks and slanders the credibility of every governmental check, right down to individual officials and even his own cabinet members. His every word and deed reflects a fundamental absence of empathy, the first prerequisite for public service. Donald Trump cares about nothing in this world except Donald Trump. There are no limits to his corruption; no lengths to which he will not go, no matter the collateral damage, to avoid being held to account for his crimes. We must impeach Donald Trump. If he refuses to step down, we must march in the streets and occupy every government building in the country until he does.

I think at this point, if Obama had done even a fraction of this the Militia movements would have escalated in to full on terror tactics and several credible threats on his life would have been made (assuming an outright assassination hadn't already succeeded). The people who are supporting Trump throughout all of this are massive hypocrites who were almost certainly calling for the death of the Kenyan-born Muslim Brotherhood infiltrator that was Barack Hussein Obama
He's talking about his book btw, which is out next month https://twitter.com/Comey/status/968612814469427202/photo/1
Tudd was one of the most fervent supporters of Trump during the election process, it's no surprise he's brainwashed enough to keep supporting him after all this. Remember; Tudd was the guy posting all the "lol hillary dying tho" """news""" stories and outright smear pieces that led to us having to toughen up the standards for articles. Trump supporters are a rare fucking breed, and I cannot see how a human with so little hubris as to admit that maybe, just maybe, Trump was a bad idea actually function day to day.
"The Colossus Speaks..."
Let's also not forget that if it were during Obama's term, Trump himself would be at the forefront of the outrage, considering how much he utterly despises Obama. Trump's entire policy is nothing but the product of outright spite, and I still say that said spite is primarily out of the racism of a rich, sheltered manchild not being able to get over a colored person actually working their way up to the highest office in the country out of actual merit rather than Trump's own method of criminal connections and throwing Daddy's money around.
Trump should be impeached unless we somehow live in a world where we have lower standards for republican presidents than democratic ones oh wait what? we don't have any standards for republican presidents? rightwing media is completely shameless? you don't say
More like woke
McCabe's got former FBI Inspector General Micheal Bromwich representing him. https://www.thedailybeast.com/fired-fbi-deputy-director-andrew-mccabe-lawyers-up
McCabe may be able to successfully retire with his pension by being hired for one day by a Democrat House Rep. Take that, you balding orange asshole. :v: Andrew McCabe was just offered a job by a congressman so he can ..
that fucking tweet just think what would happen if he were literally anybody else
https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/975350027169206273 Oh he's so gonna do it
What the fuck does he think Mueller is? A Democrat rather than a lifelong Republican or some shit??
His lies are just so blatant. I mean, Criminy. Mueller himself is a lifelong Republican. Rosenstein is a lifelong Republican. Comey is a lifelong Republican. Christopher Wray is a lifelong Republican. Basically, every single person who has control and/or leadership over this investigation is a lifelong Republican.
Criticizing Democrats for being too hard is new.
