• Brexit referendum won through fraud, Cambridge Analytica whistleblower tells MPs

I need more than 'could'. The reason this will go nowhere is because there is no proof that this made the difference or any difference for that matter.
Whataboutism accusations only work if the side you are accusing it of has been found guilty of the thing you are being attacked on. So to wit, Remain have been fined and Leave have not been by the Electoral Commission. Whataboutism from folk who don't know how to insert it into an argument. Maybe but as far as I know they havn't been found guilty of it. Can you say the same for your side?
Of course you need more than 'could'. We all know how militantly you will defend Brexit, to your dying breath just about, and there's nothing in the world any of us could ever present to you that would even dent your fervent support for it. You've got the goalposts mounted to RC trucks and every time someone dares to throw anything at you that challenges Brexit you floor the throttles.
I've made it clear on here I would let Brexit go if it could be proven that those 'lies' actually completely shifted the vote, however I know it will never be fulfilled because it fits within the same category of holding politicians to account for their governments and how we can't vote again if we have some regret about voting a government in.
It's like these last two years or so have been built on nothing but lies on top of lies in the political world.
I don't even get why boilrig is so invested in brexit happening
"something something empire" I think he just wants to export himself an African slave child or something when "THE EMPIRE" takes back what was rightly ours *picture of bulldog here* Brexit has already fucked our economy something fierce and we haven't even left yet, there won't be an economy to convert into a empire once we actually do leave. May and her cabal of incompetents have done seemingly zero work in actually securing trade deals during this negotiation period thanks to their ludicrous "we get everything or we get nothing" stance. At this point I wouldn't be surprised if she was sabotaging it on purpose to force us to reverse the decision, it'd probably be the one good thing she's done in her entire career if so.
It's like saying you'll only be satisified when I disprove the magical invisible unicorn that's been stalking you for twenty years. I can't disprove a negative.
Lets be honest, it wouldn't be a Brexit through without stupid arguments from BoilRig
to be honest i wouldn't trust the electoral commission, they have a disturbing habit of never finding the tories guilty of mismanaging funds but finding everyone else guilty of the same thing, unless you're going to sit there and tell me that the tories are guiltless golden boys who just want to help the country but yeah sure ok everyone on remain was vile, corrupt lefty elitists and leave was a couple of bad eggs but really good people all around. you win.
Well, just look at one of his older posts: Article 50 to be triggered March 29th > Long live the empire. Says it all, really.
looks deranged
I don't see anything wrong with the vote itself, the "Vote Leave" group was accused of over spending on it's campaign which in itself shouldn't really be a reason to throw out the results. What matters is that people are individuals and they can discern their own conclusions and make these decisions for themselves, it's how freedom and democracy works.
Regarding your first sentence: https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/204913/f64941d9-16d1-4cf6-9ea1-a46e0217a1c5/image.png Regarding your last: water is wet.
If they're spreading around false information in their political campaigns that in itself should be a crime, but if the facts are true whats the issue?
That "fact" ha she been thoroughly debunked though
Yes it should be a crime, or at the very least it should null the referendum (or at the very least force a new one.) That's why it's an issue when it has been demonstrated over and over and over again that the claims are indeed false. Like what was the first thing that happened after the vote? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B0ktojE6WQA Then the day after Maybe the UK should do something about it
I was talking about political campaigns in general, and from what I read in the article I don't see a reason to throw out the brexit vote. But if they were really spreading bullshit lies during the campaign the government should open up an investigation and put brexit on hold.
Can't disprove something with logic that never used logic to begin with. Which also leads me to another point: Hitchens's razor "What can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence" And since Boilrig to this day never offered anything substantial except empty propositions, imaginary trade-opportunities and unyielding desire to go back to "ye good ol' days of isolationism", there is no real point in engaging into an argument as seen in many Brexit threads. He will never change his mind, his position is literally make-believe and reality must be false if he is to be right. He can spout his nonsense "British Empire 2.0 will rise again, you just wait and see" forever for all I care. But don't see the point debating someone who, in his mind, can't be proven wrong, despite being proven wrong by conventional standards or even common-sense.
Of course it was won through fraud. What were countless lies, fake statistics and propaganda built on old past glory?
