Terrible that such things happen during protest but if the protesters started attacking the border guard it's just retribution for their actions. The fact that they do not want an inquiry into the violence and the US blocking a inquiry into the violence is concerning.

If anyone had a fucking AK in their hands then yes, the soldiers can shoot. Almost every riot in Europe involves flaming tyres, cars, property damage, fire bombs and melee. They don't get gunned down in the street. Bean bags, tear gas and hoses are used. I'd like to see how quickly the Israeli's began shooting live rounds, I wouldn't be too surprised if they were just waiting for the moment to gun down some Palestinians.
And to anyone getting sensitive about my last sentence, do some research on how the average israeli population supports the use of lethal force as standard on the gaza strip.

Giving back land is a mistake Israel will never do again. The Heet'natkot program was supposed to restore peace but instead was ruined and Gaza turned into a giant stronghold with warmongering tyrants as leaders. So far it just seems like a lot of IDF firing into unarmed protesters with rifles and tanks.
It is confirmed that Hamas gunmen fired at the IDF amid the protests, and some of the casualities are miltiants. Theres absolutely no reason for the IDF to start firing randomly into a crowd of 30,000+ people with no reason after constant warnings not to approach the frontier.

5 Hamas members being shot does not suggest they were armed or carrying out offensive actions.
It's still the IDF massacring people that aren't shooting them as a matter of routine - with suggestions that they will start bombing Gaza city if the protests continue.
Basically it's just the IDF shooting into unarmed people in an effort to get them to go home.

Violence will never solve this conflict. It'll escalate both sides and more people will die and it will be pointless.
