Gaza protests go violent, 15 Palestinians dead; Israeli minister refuses inquiry

All I see is a single take video where a bunch of dudes clearly drop down and pretend to have been shot. What exactly could be edited here?
There could easily be footage before that was edited out to remove context. Or after.
Don't forget that we're living in an age where you can't trust any video because editing videos so easy that anyone can do it, so you might as well believe whatever you want at this point.
also the Palestinian media isn't notorious for it's fake videos, so much that there's a term called Pallywood for it.
They can get care in Israeli hospital, after which they will go to jail lol, if you think after those medics will treat the Palestinians and then will hand them over to be arrested, you must be delusional.
"never question what you read or watch, just assume it's true and shove it in your brainhole like a gluttonous pig"
Don't forget to check your tap water daily to see if there are any chemicals that turn the frogs gay
I appreciate this typo
I guess because I'm skeptical of israeli media in this one particular event, this means I am incapable of being skeptical of palestinians in general. This is a position that totally makes sense and is not irrational at all.
I'm not making that claim and I've not mentioned any Palestinian media.
In this particular video you're referring to, a single gunshot is heard, followed by at least 4 dudes falling to the ground at the same time, so one of the following possible things has happened:
An IDF sniper shot an advanced guided bullet which managed to penetrate all those guys while arcing around the air.
The audio was edited by Israeli propagandists, and the truth is that at least 4 snipers performed a synchronized shot of those guys, SEAL style, for no apparent reason
Those Palestinians were making propaganda themselves, intending to create a separate video for each dude that was supposedly shot.
If you have a more reasonable explanation for what happened here, or what could've been edited out here, I'd love to hear it out. But otherwise, the answer seems pretty cut and dry regardless of source/context.
Does Israel Hayom not actually have a good online presence? is that why he didn't bother posting the source?
You were quick to condemn Israel based on the video with the medics despite having no idea of the context behind it, but against the blatantly obvious video showing a bunch of people pretending to get shot for propaganda purposes you immediately responded with skepticism. Supposedly because there's "no source", even though your twitter source is so blatantly biased it might as well not matter.
If you were my relative I would be ashamed too
Here it is(only found a Hebrew version), though they themselves say that it's unclear where the video is from. Like most videos covering the conflict, it probably originated from Palestinians and circulated via social media.

The video is originally from a Jewish isreali NGO called Jews for Peace if that makes any difference. It's mentioned in the tweet.
IDK what the solution is, but I don't think constant antagonism from either side helps or will make anything better.
Everyone wants to act like their side is heroic and the other side is villanious, but it's never actually that simple IMO.
Here is their heroism on display

Seems like you didn’t get what I said
it’s not that simple
if you had been born on a different side of a border, how would you see things?
I dont defend or care for what you’re saying I’m defending. Maybe don’t play a game of “how much can we manipulate someone’s words”
Not sure why you're being defensive here, where did I manipulate your words?
"Here is your heroism on display"
quite literally taking what I said, twisting it to fit your narrative
I didn't say that was heroism, I didn't say calling for genocide was heroism, I didn't lay down a black and white morality. I said things weren't simple, and you said "Here's your heroism on display"
if you can't see that for "manipulating your words" then you aren't really getting it.
I said their heroism not your heroism ...
I agree that it's not black an white and and there are lots of grey areas.
Point is I wasn't calling that heroism
Being a "hero" or a "villain" is based on where you're from. If you were born in Palenstine and saw things from their perspective, things are one way. Your born on another side of a border, and things are the total opposite. People on either side are basically tools for the powers that be to grow more powerful, and the cost at the end of the day is on the people who live and die there.
It's just never really going to be fixed because there's always going to be the narrative that the enemy is genuinely an evil villain with no reason for their actions besides "evil".
Well I agree with you, not sure why you think I was twisting your words.
Death count up to 27, Jeremy Corbyn condemns Western 'silence' over Israel’s killing of at least 27 Palestinians on the Gaza border.
In his message, Mr Corbyn said: “The killing and wounding of yet more unarmed Palestinian protesters yesterday by Israeli forces in Gaza is an outrage.
“The majority of the people of the Gaza Strip are stateless refugees, subject to a decade-long blockade and the denial of basic human and political rights.
“More than two thirds are reliant on humanitarian assistance, with limited access to the most basic amenities, such as water and electricity.
“They have a right to protest against their appalling conditions and the continuing blockade and occupation of Palestinian land, and in support of their right to return to their homes and their right to self-determination.”
Mr Corbyn added that “firing live ammunition into crowds of unarmed civilians is illegal and inhumane and cannot be tolerated”.
“The silence from international powers with the responsibility of bringing a just settlement of the Israel-Palestine conflict must end,” he added.
"The UK Government must support the UN secretary-general's call for an independent international inquiry into the killing of protesters in Gaza and review the sale of arms that could be used in violation of international law.”
Please refrain from more whataboutism, i'm getting tired of reading those.
corbyn has referred to Hamas as a friend, makes sense he's upset about the deaths of hamas supporters
it's not random firing into civilians as well, it's snipers picking out hostile targets and shooting them
I think any article that frames the violence as equal on both sides is a little bit biased. The violence has been extremely lopsided with far more Palestinians dying
It's some real fucking dystopian shit when your nation has to set up sniper nests to pick targets from a comfortable distance over a protest just because the entire situation has been allowed to degenerate into a perpetual loop of retards being hostile to each other causing such paranoia that it's impossible to trust anyone, not even a bunch of protesters screaming at a literal wall.

Israel has told the protestors to stay out of the buffer zone and made it clear that if you go into the clearly marked buffer zone, you likely will be shot. It's on you if you're in that buffer zone. Israel has made mistakes for sure but when you are dealing with a genocidal enemy like Hamas, it's better to err on the side of safety

Hamas simply cannot be talked with, it's hell bent on the destruction of Israel and will not give up any land.
From the 2017 charter
There shall be no recognition of the legitimacy of the Zionist entity. Whatever has befallen the land of Palestine in terms of occupation, settlement building, judaisation or changes to its features or falsification of facts is illegitimate. Rights never lapse.
Hamas believes that no part of the land of Palestine shall be compromised or conceded, irrespective of the causes, the circumstances and the pressures and no matter how long the occupation lasts. Hamas rejects any alternative to the full and complete liberation of Palestine, from the river to the sea. However, without compromising its rejection of the Zionist entity and without relinquishing any Palestinian rights, Hamas considers the establishment of a fully sovereign and independent Palestinian state, with Jerusalem as its capital along the lines of the 4th of June 1967, with the return of the refugees and the displaced to their homes from which they were expelled, to be a formula of national consensus.
The absolute minimum Hamas will accept is the two state solution and they are very clear that that 2 state solution will be the beginning of a one state solution where the only state that will be left standing is Palestine. If I referred to the older Hamas charter, they talk about how they need to slaughter every Jew in Israel. How do you talk with these people? How do you talk with an enemy that refuses to recognize that you exist?
Oh yes because I'm sure referring to them as "barbaric sand people" would definitely have helped when Corbyn is a pacifist at heart who does want peace in the area and tends to feel that the Palestinians need the support rather than the country with a raging military industrial complex and the support of the fucking USA. Corbyn has a habit of going out of his way to stay cordial even when the group are terrorists for the sake of diplomatic talks that might de-escalate the situation. Sure it gives the media more fuel for the fire, but he's a pacifist and that's how pacifists roll.
Our media have been frothing at the mouths over his "anti-Semitism" recently because he dared take part on a Jewish religious celebration with the wrong kind of Jews (as in, left leaning ones). If he really fucking hated Jews so much he wouldn't have done that, it wasn't even a PR stunt or anything the dude just fucking went in his own time representing himself and not Labour lmao.
