I live next to a few airforce bases. For the last two hours there have been jets and helicopters consistently overhead.
I think we need to change the thread title?
dude come on that's not fair NO ONE could have POSSIBLY known that trump was incompetent, literally EVERYONE was on the trump train
Boy I wonder how pissed he might be.
Unfortunately, yeah. Things get real fast and heavy when bombs are striking the ground. I'll keep looking and trying to verify my sources. Still no major reporting on it - but given how much is going on right now I wouldn't be surprised if it hasn't been reported more officially yet just because of how hard it's going to be to verify a lot of this in addition to how dense the reporting's going to be.
i would but we don't have the ability to change thread titles yet lol..
I think the Russian jets are going to be 30 minutes away for the foreseeable future
That's not remotely unsual.
Oof. Can we make a new thread and merge?

Syrian SAM's in Damascus http://i.4cdn.org/pol/1523671738145.webm
Jesus fucking christ, another fucking war we did not need at all. If russia does interfere its going to be extremely ugly. Asso fuck bolton and fuck trump using this shit as an scapegoat for his shitty ratings.
They can't merge either.
Strikes are done for the night anyway says Pentagon. Won't be more unless Syria continues using chem weapons. Reports of Russia retaliation are unsubstantiated speculation at this point.
Last time there was this much activity was before we invaded Iraq. There's usually some, but not as many as there has been today for a long time.
idk. this threads going way too fast. trying to lock and make a new one would just fuck with people in the middle of making posts. plus everyone seems to have a handle on this being where to discuss this as is

Syrians are apparently claiming a bunch of Tomahawk kills. It does appear they were ready and on high alert. Good thing they weren't given advanced warning of this attack.
It's over https://twitter.com/Reuters/status/984977517072265216?s=19
I mean, was anyone expecting otherwise?
I think they mentioned that in the context of how we previously gave Russia advance warnings to avoid Russian casualties during the last strike in January 2017.
Think Russia got 90 minute warning last time
Can this shit just end? Please? I swear to fuck we're one temper tantrum tweetstorm away from the biggest shitstorm of our lives 24/7 because of this fat fucking idiot.

It ends when either Trump or Bolton are out of the White House.
There's some really weird stuff in the Syrian conflict, like how the US and Russia have a "deconfliction line" where they literally call each other up like "hey, we're going to bomb your guys here today, please stay away so it doesn't start WW3, thanks"

Mattis says the targets were chosen by their use to continuing the use of chemical weapons. I don't have a problem with this strike if it can be contained to just denying access to chemical weapons.

I really hope Assad gets the message and goes back to killing his people with regular bombs like a normal dictator
