Trump's lawyers: "The President doesn't have to agree to your interview, you know." Mueller: "My hammer has a first name, it's S-U-B-P-O-E-N-A..." https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/mueller-raised-possibility-of-presidential-subpoena-in-meeting-with-trumps-legal-team/2018/05/01/2bdec08e-4d51-11e8-af46-b1d6dc0d9bfe_story.html
Idk whats taking so long but i'm blue balling hardcore right now, i'm ready for this shitshow to get on the road.
Bbecause Mueller is about to recommend the most corrupt Republican government in our history impeach the guy who rubberstamps their agenda, shattering the tribalism they've spent decades concocting. He needs an absolute flood of undeniable evidence.
When going after the President of the United States, you need to exhaust every credible investigative lead. Mueller absolutely has enough to secure a conviction in a court of law, but the barrier to that is a political process: impeachment. Mueller's final report can have absolutely no unturned stones. In order for Trump to be impeached, the evidence has to be absolutely unimpeachable, because the GOP has been working its ass off to discredit and bury this investigation.
The best part is that at this point it almost doesn't matter to the investigation whether or not there was any collusion, the simple fact that the GOP and their citrus icing mascot are doing everything they can to impede the discovery one way or the other will sink them all on its own.

Unfortunately, Giuliani doesn't get to dictate terms to law enforcement. If they have to Subpoena Trump to get answers they'll drag him before a court kicking and screaming.
What I don’t understand is why they want to really narrow the interview down for an innocent man? Wouldn’t an innocent man be not afraid to answer questions or stay past their “executive time”? 🤔
A former Whitewater prosecutor said the questions suggest Mueller would likely want a two-day interview with Trump. 2 or 3 hours isn't gonna cut it
i don't get why they would or even think that they can dictate what can be asked and in what period of time they'll get to ask it in lol. that just seems fucking bizarre to me. if the goal was to exonerate Trump surely they'd want to let the prosecutors hit him with their best shot, but doing stuff like this just makes it seem hardcore like they're trying to hide something... HMMMM
Word on Fox News is that they're worried Mueller is gonna dump a bunch of "essay like questions" on him and try to get him for lying under oath on a minute detail. "You said X here but said Y there." Yes that's a quote from whatever show was on. They also wanted the questions to be about Russia stuff and not things related to obstruction.
The argument is basically "if we allow him to answer questions from federal prosecutors, he might have to answer questions from federal prosecutors!"
I for one am of the opinion that Trump should be arrested in precisely the head-injurious manner he requested: "When you see thugs being thrown into the back of a paddy wagon, you just see them thrown in; rough. I said, ‘please don’t be too nice'. Like when you guys put somebody in the car and you’re protecting their head, you know, the way you put your hand over it. Like, don’t hit their head, and they’ve just killed somebody. I said, you can take the hand away, OK?" Seems only fitting, to me.
It's not like they need to actually be concerned about that anyways. This is Trump we're talking about so no matter how simple and straightforward the questions are he's going to end up contradicting himself, even if there was no advantage to doing so.
God damn, Trump could not withstand a 2-day interview.
I don't think Trump could withstand three hours without dropping at least five lies or trying to scream "executive privilege" as his answer to anything Mueller says. For those not keeping score at home, executive privilege totally does not work like that. It must be invoked on paper in advance and litigated over to determine exactly what can and cannot be asked; it is not a get out of answering your ass free card the way the Fifth Amendment can be used.
Rudy's gone full retard. https://twitter.com/pbump/status/991849174319628288
The degenerate-in-chief does surround himself with such competent and talented legal counsel, truly. I'm going to be sick to death of popcorn and suffering terminal diabetes by the time this wraps up.
Holy shit, you know what? It's going to be just like that interview he had for CNN, I believe, when he got asked a question he didn't want to answer and so he said something like "Look, I'm sorry, I'm very busy, I have a lot of work to do." and he went over to his desk, picked up a sheet of paper and was pretending to be reading it. Or that other interview, which was about his own autobiography, I think, where he got bored incredibly quickly and acted like a spoiled brat before rudely walking off. That's what I imagine this interview would be like. He might drop the phrases "witch hunt" "hillary" and "fake news" a couple of times, but I doubt he's going to be able to stay in the same room as Mueller, unless they cuff him to his chair or lock the door.
