• Trump on undocumented children: "They look so innocent. They're not innocent."

That remains to be seen with how long the chimp remains in office yet. Let's not forget that in the eight years under Bush - especially after 9/11 - our news outlets and educational system shifted their focus more towards producing a generation of ignorant worker drones and xenophobic warhawks. And ol' Donnie has already gone to work in trying to dismantle the schools as much as he possibly can before he's booted out, to say nothing of his relationship with news media.
2020 cannot come fast enough
I don't really see many parallels between events in the 1930's and today.
Let's not insult chimps by implying Trump is as smart as they are. He'd bring down the average intelligence level of the entire species after all.

its like a hostage taker in a bank popping hostages and saying its the cop's fault the people are being shot because they wont let him go. its complete asinine bullshit that dumbfucks eat up and believe.
Wow It's been a while since a Trump's tweet made me completely speechless
You know, this just made my morbid curiosity kick in. I'd like to see a video of a ICE member or border agent take a fully legal person and their family, beat the shit out of them on camera until their faces are bloody and bruised, then take a hammer and smash their skulls in. you upload it on Facebook and have HORDES of people saying "GOD BLESS ICE AND BORDER PATROL ANOTHER ILLEGAL AND THERE FAMILY IS NO MORE. GOD BLESS TRUMP FOR MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN. NO MORE ILLEGALS!" Like i know it sounds fucked up but I'm SUPER curious to see how far people are going to go with this shit.
They won’t give a shit. People who are all about this don’t realize the real reason they’re coming here. My teacher put on a pretty good short documentary about it. I can’t remember what it was called, but it followed some kids from South America to the US and the things they go through. theres a lot of gang wars down south and gangs are essentially forcing young men into these almost milita type groups. There’s crime and corruption and a lot of them are coming here for a better life. ”Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore..”
What's horrible is that people from Mexico and South America are mostly descended from Spain and Portugal, they have mostly European ancestry, just like white Americans.
You don't see any parallels? Let's see... Demonizing a minority and scapegoating them Migrant children of said minority are being forcibly separated from their parents Migrant children are suffering abuse and neglect at the hands of authorities and civilians Nationalistic rhetoric that has a nasty white-ethnostate undercurrent Literal Nazis feel empowered to speak up, and apparently white supremacy is now an "opinion" we should tolerate The President is committing sustained and constant attacks on the role of law and the checks and balances against a tyrannical President to cover up his own conspiratorial misdeeds The economy is improving but the common man isn't able to keep up with the economy and this is even more the case with minorities compared to whites Nationalism and enforced patriotism, the tools of the authoritarian, are becoming increasingly normalized And let's not forget that the Trump administration has already begun the practice of publishing the names and crimes of illegal immigrants caught in criminal acts. https://www.democracynow.org/images/story/95/34995/full_hd/JewishList.jpg
I think it's important to get the chronology of things right here, cause there's a bunch of news flying around about ICE now There was thousands of reports of abuse of immigrant minors that happened throughout most of obama's tenure nearly 1500 immigrant minors that nobody is sure where they are, which as far as I can tell has only started with trump.
Wasn't it Jeff Sessions who was saying ICE was going to start separating families from their children, and now Trump's blaming democrats? The gaslighting's so intense I can read the dictionary in a cave a mile underground.
I get around that problem by focusing my dehumanization on individuals who have, by deed and word, proved that they view huge parts of the human species to be less than human. In doing so, they forfeit their own humanity and becoming lower still. What, are we still to treat with respect and dignity those worms who would afford none to others?
Here we go again. Gonna quote myself from the other day. No. I despise the mockery of American democracy that Trump has made as much as the next person, but dehumanization is toxic rhetoric no matter who it's aimed at. Donald Trump is a man. He is a pathetic man, cowardly, spiteful, hateful, self-interested, unthinking, illiterate by choice, balding, and likely too mentally compromised to be deemed fit for office, but he is still a man just as I am. When the full extent of his crimes are known, punish him for them. Impeach him from office, indict him when he is officially removed, give him the benefit of due process and as fair a trial as any American is due, and convict and sentence him for all of the crimes that can he can be proven to have committed to the required, fairly demanding criminal justice standards. Freeze his assets, fight his appeals, which he will no doubt attempt to appeal directly to the Supreme Court over as step 1, and LOCK HIM UP for the crimes he can be rightfully confirmed to have committed, but do not dehumanize him. You're no better than those you profess to hate if you do. America needs heroes who resist the pull of evil. Be a hero in your own small way, own the national discourse and steer it away from hateful speech that informs your opponent you consider them vermin to be later exterminated. Do not let your opponent believe that you are hiding true hatred in your heart while you decry their vocalized hatred. Treat them as they are - men and women with hateful ideologies and hateful beliefs, not subhuman animals. Oppose them, call for their punishment when they commit crimes, call out their moral predations and hurtful rhetoric, even hate them if you must, but do not dehumanize them or you're no better than they are. Those who hunt monsters risk becoming like their target.
Not that any of you need to be lectured, but this policy is 100% on Trump, and the only thing he needs to do to stop it is issue an executive order prohibiting the practice. He could make this "horrible law" (note: it's not a law, it's executive policy) a thing of the past in less than an hour.
This crazy son of a bitch is seriously trying to write his own reality. What a fucking tool.
Hey that's not very fair. Tools are usually helpful in some way.
Oh he's useful, just not to any of us as it currently stands.
Funny, because that's exactly what I said he was deliberately trying to do with humans anyway~
Admittedly it's also because I want to see the full context for myself and draw a conclusion from more than quotes that are barely a full sentence.
Jesus, I didn't even make the correlation with that last one.

Let's be clear about something. Trump is, in every common sense of the word: Evil. Just Evil. He's not just a little selfish. He's not just a flawed person trying to do right. He's not just stupid, or ignorant, or misinformed. He's not a rough-cut New Yorker with a heart of gold. He's not the victim of a grand conspiracy. He's just evil. He is evil on every level. He is a man who would do anything, say anything, and allow anything to suit his own whims. He is a man who is, right at this moment, allowing children to be torn from their loving parents' arms, allowing those children to be shipped to detention facilities where they are physically and sexually abused, allowing ICE to eradicate records of the sexual and physical abuse they are accused of, and is ultimately allowing those children to be vanished without a trace. Let that shit sink in for just a moment, and then consider that Trump has, in the last 24 hours: 1) Attempted to justify this brutality by claiming that these children are not innocent, because they are "future criminals." 2) Attempted to shift the blame to his political rivals for the sole purpose of trying to pressure them for funds for a border wall. Donald Trump is literally letting children be taken from their parents, raped, and discarded in order to gain political leverage for a bullshit monument to his own vanity. He claims this is "horrible," and yet the only thing he has to do is pick up a pen and sign an executive order. Instead, he uses it to his advantage. Trump is evil. There is no middle ground. There is no gray zone. There is no fence to sit on. In ninety-nine out of a hundred cases, I would commend you for trying to see "both sides" of an issue, and to understand the nuance and complexity of the world we live in, because ninety-nine times out of a hundred you'd be right to do that. Not this time. Not after everything we've seen. Trump's burned the benefit of the doubt. He's just evil. So, you either stand on the right side of history, or you stand with evil. That's really all there is to it.
Yeah, that's the emotional response that I have as well, but I still want to know the actual comments in-context as I would for literally any reporting that's this strong. There is nothing wrong with wanting to hear what was actually said in context. Trump may be one of the worst presidents that we've ever had, but there is without a doubt media misrepresentation of what he said... not all of it, but without a doubt a chunk of it. Media sources have had a history of embellishing trump's comments and putting them out of context, which is really bizarre to me since he says an absolutely insane amount of questionable shit even without doing that, so all that it really does in the end is justify his 'fake news' narrative. Also, You say Let that shit sink in for just a moment as if I'm not aware of everything you just said. You're acting like he went "aha! We will make the detention facilities absolute hell on earth, and the guards will rape the children!'. He didn't. He didn't give ICE carte blanche to delete records of inmate abuse. The fact that children are being separated at all is horrifying, but he isn't somehow "allowing" that because everything on that list is demonstrably completely illegal. You're also acting like I'm somehow ignorant of the current political situation as a whole, for some reason. I'm not. At all. I am fully aware of all the goings-on. I just think that "[group] is evil" is a really, really weak argument that I can't internally justify whatsoever. It also solves nothing. This comment serves no purpose other than to further the divide currently in the country. Part of the reason that people that actually do support this fuckwit are so galvanized is this sentiment. This kind of post talking down and explaining the 'real situation' solves absolutely nothing at all other than to act as an emotional lever, when you can prove that trump is a shit person with nothing but objective evidence extremely easily. All that I want to get is more objective evidence. This is literally the exact thing that I'm attempting to double-check the validity of in-context. The quotes on the article are extremely sparse and tiny. There is absolutely no way to tell if he was referring to immigrant children, or the immigrant children who are already in gangs. This is exactly like the "Animals" comment that everyone was steaming over that turned out to, in context, be clearly referring to solely MS-13 members. I absolutely despise trump. I do, from the very core of my being. If and when he gets impeached, I'm throwing a party. But I still want to criticize people for what they actually do, not what I think they did. Doing so just weakens my side's arguments and makes them look invalid, because such arguments, well, are invalid.
Ok, so I'm in the right side of history, yet I might be stuck between a rock and a hard place when it comes to dealing with evil. My influence and competence for doing good seems so feeble in the grand schemes of things.
ahh yes, our currency has lost all value, we've terrible debts from the Great War, and our Head of Government has just passed laws essentially turning him into a dictator. He has managed to gain the support of the majority, and has convinced them of some idiotic theory regarding the "superiority of the Aryan race". He has instated laws that relate to his eugenics programs, and has established camps that are to be used for genocide. Meanwhile, our only ally is fighting a war in Ethiopia in a desperate attempt at being recognized as a colonial power. Also, Spain is experiencing a Civil War, and the Communist Leader of the Soviet Union has just purged most of his cabinet. The UK is granting our every wish through appeasement, and we've just annexed our southern neighbor through military coupe. as long as the MAJORITY of the US Population (Which he did not win in the election) opposes Donald J. Trump, he will not even COMPARE to the National Socialist Party of Germany. But, hey, gotta push a message i guess.
Furthermore, the Republicans aren't calling themselves the National Socialist party, Trump isn't speaking German, and his name isn't even Adolf Hitler! Everyone knows you can't compare things unless if they are literally exactly the same.
Look how much our majority matters. At least Hitler - by the rules of Germany's voting system back then if nothing else - was technically elected legitimately. There are doubts Trump even managed that much, but the 2016 election still managed to single-handedly hand him a chokehold over our entire government. He won the presidency, his party won the majority of both houses of Congress, and thanks to said party's stalling over Obama's Supreme Court appointment, he was even able to secure the continuation of their majority of the Supreme Court. And none of them are about to go against him because right now, Trump and his cult of personalty are how the Republicans maintain their power, even if they privately also hate his guts. And there is just enough benefit of the doubt right now over the 2016 election results to explain why he hasn't already been flung out of the White House in handcuffs. Yes, we are the majority of the population, but we are the minority in government. That makes our options very limited. Until the November elections come, we basically just have to helplessly watch him wreck our country more and more with each passing day and hope that Mueller can finish up his investigation before enough people become tired of hearing about it that it gives the Republicans the excuse to forcefully shut it down. Aside from that, we have two moves we can make. The first is a nationwide peaceful protest to attempt to ground our government's daily operation to a halt; that'll only work once and we're saving it for in case Mueller does get the boot. The other move is the non-peaceful option, and that'll most certainly lead to another bloody civil war, tearing our country to shreds and slashing the amount of power we can globally project to absolutely nothing while we're in-fighting, which would let Russia move in for the kill. America is on the brink. And for the next half-year, we have our hands full just making sure we don't topple over into the abyss and fully transform into the villain that the rest of the world has to band together to defeat as had happened in 1945. We are Jekyll desperately trying to hold back Hyde, and Jekyll is about to succumb completely. And if he does, Putin's ready with his finger on the trigger, and who knows what havoc will be wrought on the world if criminals who now own Russia also gain complete control over America. That would be both nuclear superpowers in the hands of the Russian mafia - hell, they're already 95% of the way there.
Woah dude, what the hell does "balding" have to do with the rest and with being a despicable person?
