Yes having sexual feelings for children is wrong, but having those feelings doesn't make you a bad person inherently any more than having thoughts of murdering someone (annoying boss, bullies, people who don't think through what they're saying on internet forums etc) inherently makes you a bad person. He's not saying it's GOOD to have those feelings, just that it's the act of child molestation that deserves your ire, not the people with feelings that can't help the urges.

As you said, a sexual attraction to prepubescent children is a mental illness. It's not something chosen, and it's not something that is inherently acted upon just because its present, and that's the defining line here. Have they sought help for these urges, or have they acted on them? The whole point in making this distinction, and in trying to cool down the understandably visceral reaction that people have towards pedophiles, is to encourage people who have sexual attractions to children to seek help before they turn the fantasy into reality by victimizing a child.

I think the problem today is children are becoming over sexualized I find it gross and disgusting to see kids around 6 or 8 wearing obscene amounts of make up and going into beauty pageants and the like and being paraded around Pedophilia is gross and disgusting and I think a lot of steps should be taken to prevent any sort of sick fiends preying on children.

I know you are banned, but maybe you will see this later on. I used to work in a jail, I had the unfortunate job where i had to deal with these types of inmates. Some of them openly bragged about it and got their asses kicked regularly. Some of them never spoke about it and got their asses kicked regularly. In the end regardless of what they've done and as sick some of these people are there are various levels of sexual offenders. You have non-violent types and especially violent types. My point is, incarceration should be reserved from the most dangerous of people. The point of incarceration is to separate someone from society because they cannot be trusted to act safely in that society. The death penalty is reserved for only the most dangerous of people - even then the death penalty is messy business. I don't agree with it because to many innocent people have been caught in a death sentence. This article or bill that is being introduced isn't about that - it is about the fundamental concept of banning an inanimate object. An object which arguably can reduce real sexual crimes. There is research that is posted in this threat that goes to show that porn, sex toys, etc reduce sexual crimes. So I ask you, did you ever hear about these types of dolls until the article was posted? If so it couldn't have been that important to you. The point is, if a person who happens to be a pedophile (Mind you not convicted or been in any trouble with the law). This pedophile we are talking about full well knows that child exploitation is wrong, sexual assault is wrong, and utilizes fictional material including a plastic sex doll to satisfy his/her urges. Fulfilling these urges with a toy and fictional material is much more safe then taking away said material. Even then, no crime has taken place...so how can you justify such treatment? Even then, lets say the CREEPER act gets passed. All the manufacturers have to do is change their toy's specs and they can by-pass any ban. The article even appeals to peoples emotions rather then logic. There is no logical reason to ban any type of sex toy. Why stop at these types of toys, people can buy adult size sex toys and use them to simulate rape. There is a huge difference in partaking in FANTASIES and committing real acts of violence/pedophilia. In order to keep fantasies as fantasies you have to let people express themselves with fictional material and toys in the safety/privacy of their own home. I'm not going to go protesting this bill if it gets passed, but you need to chill out and stop calling pedo's and calling people pedophile apologists. This bill could easily be applied to any object that is morally questionable and I don't think that is right. Thus, this entire bill and debate is a huge waste of time and tax payer money.
