If Trump goes to prison, it'll go a long way with exposing the radical right. The US president being imprisoned would be a massive historical event which would likely send shockwaves through American society and GOP would be known as the party that backed a fascist traitor.

I'm worried if there were solutions for the root cause of these dilemmas, it would be figured out too slowly to have any effect, obstructed, or/and poorly implemented. Leading to reactionary "fixes", like ostracizing entire ideologies, isolating the problems in the hopes it will be fixed later, but it will just become an escalating sinkhole. Leading to my biggest fears for what we have in store for the future like extremist religious cults, radicalized American militias, right wing terrorist groups, police state government fascism.

This has got to the point that the next administration will surely be expected to commission an investigation into human rights abuses and take it all the way to the top men, a lá Nuremberg Trials. Once he's out of office, Trump is not immune from fuck all. One way or another we're going to see the man and the scum he's surrounded by go down.

My parents have become full on racists and conspiracy religous nuts since trump has been put in office. They get most of their nonsense from facebook. Facebook has turned into a mega echo chamber that puts fox news's comment section to shame.

I never get tired of the irony of talking about how Trump "lives rent-free in the minds of liberals" and then having several Obama and Clinton threads constantly on the front page.

I was going to make a comment along these lines. In 2016 the idea that Trump would be personally ordering immigrant children to be separated from their parents who are then put into internment camps would have been a hypothetical used by a Trump supporter to illustrate how absurd a leftist critic of Trump is.

To those of you who continually carpet-bomb anti-Trump opinions in these threads with babies, funnies, and snowflakes, just come straight out and try and defend your position on this. Quit hiding behind your rating, I want you to try and justify this behavior on the part of our government. It's inhuman to think this is a normal way to treat people, especially children.

Aa much as this sucks to say, but what is there we can do? We've tried contacting our represenatives which hasn't appeared to work, talking to senators which again has showed no results, and even tried protesting. I'd say our only hope left is the elections coming up in November but even still I'm worried it'll be too little too late. I really do care about this country but I feel like the people have no more say in it's laws and policies.
