It's pretty rare for me to be shocked by a Fox News segment but wow that's just unreal.
Update: permad
One of his last deeds was giving me a coin so rip
Another day, another Trump scandal that a democrat president would have been impeached 3 times over for. Any of you "All politicians are the same garbage, votes don't matter" people still wanna come out there and defend your stance. Vote in the damn Midterms, or this is only gonna get worse until the end of Trump's Term. Also might reconsider your free speech laws if they are used against used in the form of constant right-wing propaganda that just splits the country, maybe, just maybe, blatantly biased or simply untrue statements don't really deserve protection if they are just eroding the foundations of your society and country for political and financial gains.
It's not even the worst thing that has been said on Fox and Friends.
Now we're all going to die from calcium deficiency, thanks a lot asshole
If they don't stop sucking up to fascists their donors will lose confidence and move to the dems.
Talking people out of voting due to a probability that it won't matter/count is exactly what they want. This is a terrible way to look at it and convincing others to do the same is even worse. It is a lot easier to bullshit people into not voting than it is to rig the votes. I am not saying that it is not possible but you have to do your part. Likewise, while having Pence as president sounds bad, he will undoubtedly be smart enough not to pull the same bullshit that gets Trump out. He might be just as racist and even more homophobic as Trump but he will IMO steer clear of controversy while he rides out the rest of the term in hopes to be reelected. This gives us time, which right now is almost the best thing we can hope for.
Not only do big money interests prefer a fascist government run by plutocrats over any form of democracy with humanitarian goals, but a significant portion of the GOP's voting base has shifted to include people who would be perfectly comfortable doing away with democracy. More than half of them believe that Trump won the popular vote, and that Clinton's total actually came from millions of undocumented immigrants voting illegally. A Washington Post article revealed that more than half of them would support "postponing" the 2020 election to "figure out a solution" to the supposed problem. It's my assumption that when these authoritarian/fascist party members get a taste of unelected power, they're not going to want to end the suspension of democracy and risk putting it back into the hands of the liberals. The suspension would become a permanent coup. I don't like to think that this is where we're heading, but I never would have believed the depths that this country has already sunk to if you had asked me ten years ago. Source: In a new poll, half of Republicans say they would support postpo..
Well that's pretty heinous. Was thinking along the lines of that rich people want to make money selling people shit, and people buy more shit when they're not suffering under a fascist regime. Real talk: what will you do if the gop majority becomes even larger after the midterms.
Deputy Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security got kicked out of a mexican restaurant of all places. https://twitter.com/SmashRacismDC/status/1009234229899792385 https://twitter.com/OsitaNwanevu/status/1009229501488775169
Damn this is awesome
How did they not see that coming? Don't have to be a genius to know something like that would happen.
Now that's actual patriotism. Not standing for an anthem or saluting a flag, but standing up for what's right and blasting those who contribute to injustice.
It's no fluke that the Trump administrations actions up to this point hit Stage 6(of 8) on the stages towards genocide, with stage 7 being the actual extermination of the minorities. It's either already too late to put a stop to an almost guaranteed genocide on US soil, or we are witnessing the beginning of said genocide with the formation of literal "concentration camps". The ICE is hiding the locations of these camps from the public. The majority of those being thrown into these camps have little to nothing proving their existence as a result of their illegal immigrant status, and as such could be killed at will with little evidence to prove it. The government has long been dehumanizing those being thrown into the camps, and has begun to refer to their immigration as being an "infestation"; the same terminology you would use to refer to insects. These people are in genuine, and immediate danger.
"I guess since we put all of those mexicans in camps and deported them, we won't bump into any in a Mexican Restaurant"
Petkanas was waaaay more polite than he should've been, really.
538 weighed on this with various polls https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/229156/52ec6341-bc79-4054-978e-4d486a796fc9/image.png https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/229156/08456fe6-6c14-400a-b2a8-b65e148ccc91/image.png Separating Families At The Border Is Really Unpopular | FiveThir.. TLDR Even though half of Republicans still support Trump in this, its basically unsustainable for the GOP as its a partisan issue and not very popular among their own base
Wtf is going on in US? Did each state setup border control/check-point to catch mexican families or what?
17% of people supporting this is still disgusting but it's actually much lower than I would've assumed. I was thinking at least 30-35% of people were all for this.
The three other polls in the same period report 27-28%, which is spitting distance from 30%. Statistically, one quarter of Americans support what its government is doing to anyone coming across the Southern border. How mortifying.
What do you *actually* have to do to get impeached fucking christ.
Fucking what? If Hell is real, I hope his cell is littered with LEGO bricks and goat-heads.
Trump changed policy so that rather than either turning away illegal immigrants at the border or allowing them to stay until an immigration hearing, they're arrested on the spot, meaning that if a family is attempting to come across then the parents get arrested and the children are put into holding areas indefinitely. This also applies to asylum seekers, even though seeking asylum is legal. So even if you're trying to escape being killed by the cartels, you'll get thrown in jail and your children put into pens.
Wow.... So how is National Guard involved/related to this?
Trump declared that he would order NG troups to the border. This has been done before by Bush and Obama both, but it wasn't effective either of those times.
At this point, I'm fairly certain the man could murder an infant on live television while maniacally laughing in the faces of their parents as he's doing it, and the GOP will just continue to shrug it off.
As long as it's an Hispanic infant. "Shouldn't have been here illegally. That's the law."
Yet, the great and honorable democrats refused to vote on a law to change it, "to keep focus on Trump" The reason for the measure itself is to prevent human trafficking of children anyway
