Trump supporters and the centrists that derided Olbernanns videos are the dumbest bastards on this planet. Everything he mentions is based on what previous leaders who followed the same playbook as trump did. Fascists run like clockwork.
I feel like he could be more specific than "white people" considering that there are white people that are heavily disapproving this atrocity.

No, I don't think he's wrong to phrase it that way. Sure, there are white people who disapprove of this, but of the people who approve, it seems that effectively all of them are white. And that's something to take note of.
It's not all white people but it's a lot. It's enough of them.
1) Not a law. Executive policy. Put in place by Trump admin, and nobody else.
2) Democrats DO have legislation in the works to outlaw this. It has UNANIMOUS support from every Democratic senator. Zero Republicans. Republicans control house and Senate -- Democrats are hamstringed without a single swing vote.
3) No legislation is NECESSARY to change this because, again, it's not a law. It's executive policy. Trump can immediately end it with an executive order.
4) Moments ago, Trump did just that... Kind of. He is still throwing children into prison camps, he's just going to allow them to stay with their parents. Half-measure "solution" to a barbaric practice. "Zero tolerance" needs to end and our current asylum process needs to be honored.
5) Stop getting your information from Fox News, dude. That's why you're so misinformed on this shit.

Yes but using arguments that they use to justify stupid shit like profiling and discrimination in general should definitely make you take a step back and rethink what you're saying. What AtomicSans said was blatantly generalizing white people despite clear examples not to.
This is justifying shitting on white people because some white people are okay with this. The justification being that "nearly everyone guilty of this is white" which is totally backwards. You could also use the same argument against white supremacists and it would still be a terrible way to argue your point for the same reasons. White supremacists make up a small fraction of the white population but under AtomicSans' argument you can still generalize white people because nearly all white supremacists are, well, white.
It doesn't have to make sense fiscally. It's not about saving money, it's about striking fear into anybody even thinking of coming into this country.
What do you suggest we say?
What's especially fucked up to think about, if Trump actually wants to scare away asylum seekers, he's going to have to make the US so terrifying and inhospitable that even people trying to escape being killed would think twice about trying to come here.
