holy shit chad please god that article is vibrating as such high speeds i can't even read it how did this happen
Hannity just cut an ad for Ocasio-Cortez https://twitter.com/ndrew_lawrence/status/1012148765476745217
Crowley being such a nice loser makes me kind of think he didn't want Pelosi's job and is happy he lost.
Small victories. I hope it's the first of many
He may also be looking towards the future, perhaps even under the banner of the new democratic party should it come.
He should go to Pelosi's district and challenge the shithead on her own terf.
She rich, got power and doesn't want competition. What we are seeing are the boomers of the party being replaced
Becoming more and more convinced that Ocasio-Cortez's campaign is close to the ideal model for Democratic candidates https://twitter.com/Chelsea_Fagan/status/1011982541308465153
This probably wasnt a smart decision but good luck.
Youth does not automatically mean better.
Neither does age. And with the ruling members of the party showing a complete disregard for the interests of their juniors it's up to the younger generations to stand up for themselves and define how they want the future to be, since they'll be the ones to live it.
I don't think 70 year olds deserve to have the only say.
Politics should not be a bunch of old men deciding a future they'll never see.
This little reminds me of 1950s poster iconography. Ok, But doesn't means old people who been running that so long (with exception of Bernie Sanders who run healthy lifestyle) becoming out of touch and toxic reactionary to keep up ever changing politics around them.
I agree. Better policies means better
It's just a pure coincidence that younger voters tend to have better policies economically and socially.
There are plenty of examples of dumb kids and wise elderly, such as with Bernie and smart kids with stupid elderly, such as Trump. People should not be voting "because they're young", assuming that in itself somehow makes them more intelligent. I don't think 20 year olds deserve to have the only say either? Politics should not be a bunch of kids deciding a future they don't understand, either. what Fitting username for the ONE poster who gets it.
That would be a insanely dumb thing thing to suggest which is why I didn't say that?
Strange, I didn't say anything about 70 year olds either.
though the average age of representatives is almost 60. Congress as it stands right now is very old and it would benefit to have fresh blood.
So I guess Bernie ought to be kicked out then, since apparently only age determines the quality of policies.
You are getting way too hung up on what that one guy said. It was a general sentiment of "we need younger people in politics," not "younger is always better." Jesus Christ.
We give Bernie Sanders pass because of his healthily lifestyle and he only few left of elder politicians that surprisingly do care citizens of this country.
Guillotine anyone over 40 is the only option
you really showed the nobody that was saying that, good job!
I guess you only read my post and not the one I replied to
"I could use some ketchup on my burger" Oh, you think that burgers should only have ketchup? there should NEVER be mustard or pickles huh? WHAT sense does that make, you just want a burger dipped in ketchup??
damn, that poster is clean as all hell I'd hang that on my wall
But wait, there's more! https://twitter.com/Ocasio2018/status/1017394155268575232 https://twitter.com/JoeCrowleyNY/status/1017408740855693314 In spite of losing the primary to Ocasio, Crowley will remain on the ballot under the Working Families Party - essentially a de facto third-party challenger. Under NY state election law, a candidate cannot voluntarily withdraw from a ballot except under special circumstances.
While that happen, I saw articles days ago saying because Ocasio won so much, she got also won primary in 15 district as Write-in candidate. Like this one from Vox. https://www.vox.com/2018/7/11/17560252/alexandria-ocasio-cortez-house-primary-new-york-15th-congressional-district-reform-party
