If America gets to the point where violent revolution is needed, I'm killing myself. I don't want to live in a world where the most powerful country in the world has no functioning democracy, and I don't want to live in the world where a precedent has been set of killing everyone in power to fix a country, because there's no way I can expect stability in that kind of world.
We already find ourselves in extraordinarily desperate times, and what was very likely our last best hope of a peaceful resolution to this regime's dictatorial ambitions just announced his retirement. If Trump installs a loyalist, I no longer see a clear and reasonable path to Trump's reign ending without bloodshed short of an absolutely unprecedented exchange of power in the mid-terms this November.
I wasn't just talking about armed uprising. Should the court prove loyal to Trump and no longer upholding the law, there's more than one way to retire a justice.
Impeaching a justice is inprecented and Trump's disgusting kangaroo court would pounce on any voting rights cases to make it impossible for Democrats to win.
If you're talking about permanent retirement, I hope the Secret Service cares more about the country than Trump or them.
The only way to remove a Supreme Court Justice is via impeachment for a crime. The bar for doing this is every as high as it is for impeaching a sitting US president. It isn't going to happen.

Impeachment is the only way to force a president out, what you're describing is basically a coup.

I don't want to go "no no no it can't happen here" but you tend to lay out a doomsday scenario and act like there are only two ways it could go. We don't even know what the full force of public opinion/backlash on all this looks like. A lot of people are just sitting around waiting for the investigation to end, we don't know what's going to happen when he gives his report let alone what would happen if they tried to dismiss the results entirely.

I have a similar mindset sometimes, but I talk myself out of it with the idea that if you believe yourself to be a good person, it's critical for you to stay alive and participate in society as long as you can. The world needs it, even if you're not a politician that's out to change the world yourself.

Seems a bit too extreme. Start a fund via your social media presence, and move somewhere else. Look at history - every empire eventually falls, and most crash and burn. Can't say it'd be very surprising to see the US end like this, given the way it's been going.

The coup has already happened. Donald Trump should have been impeached a hundred times over already. He has very publicly committed multiple high crimes of office and countless violations of his sworn oath of office. The GOP refuse to him accountable. The legislative branch and the head of the executive are working hand in hand to tear apart the checks and balanaces on their power, and they've now also claimed the head of the judiciary. That's all three branches of government under the control of a fascist regime.
