Migrant children and families now face indefinite detention by US

Trump is a super duper rich elite, how does he fit into your elaborate argument?
isn't this illegal?
Yes. In a wide variety of ways.
If you value the 2nd Amendment, you should also value the 14th. In 2010 the SCOTUS ruled that the right to own arms (two years prior they ruled that the 2nd gives you the right to arms in the first place instead
of a right from government confiscation) is protected from state laws by the 14th Amendment's Due Process Clause.
explicitly basing your position off of spite for the other side, ridiculous. not what's logical or reasonable, no, just whatever pisses off the liberals. good luck with that! just quit the pretense that this is anything more than the "if I can't play, I'll break my toys" attitude of a child
Being logical and reasonable hasn’t exactly worked out for many of us in the last decade. So forgive me for not wanting to deal with everyone’s hypocritical bullshit anymore.
When it’s my rights being attacked, most of you just go “aww they’re gonna take away your precious toys how sad”, because it’s not something any of you value. Yet when they come for rights which you actually care about, only then does it become an issue. None of you see a problem with that?
So no shit I’m feeling a bit spiteful to put it mildly, and I’m willing to bet many others feel the same way.
so what, I have to forcibly shut up everyone in the world who has an opinion you don't like before you'll stand behind your own convictions?

pro tip, responding to a multi-paragraph post with "lol u got owned" does not make it true
You're pretty much saying that liberals like rights, and you like rights, and somehow, that means they should support your political positions. It's short-sighted and oversimplified, but distorting the situation like this is the only way you'll get to justify an argument that amounts to "I am entitled to your support, no ifs or buts"
You also seem to think you're speaking to the entire liberal spectrum here, as if you were staring the hivemind directly in the face with this glorious, oh-so-grand accusation and the notion that you're entitled to have the final say. I'm speaking to AlbertWesker, not to "The Conservatives", but you don't do the same, instead of talking to me you're talking to "The Liberals". Get down from that high horse and maybe you'll see I'm just a guy, too.
But this is pointless, you admitted there is no changing your mind, and that makes this a tantrum not a debate. You're like the weird manipulative girlfriend who threatens a breakup in expectation her SO will come running back to apologize, walking in here like you're hot shit and feeling like we need to hear all about how we don't deserve you. Go ahead with your plan to discard principles and integrity to instead, base your politics on emotional reaction. What on earth does that have to do with me?
so basically you don't actually give a shit about tyranny or even have a basic definition of it
you're not doing wonders for the pro-2A argument here
Seeking asylum is an inalienable human right, guns aren't. This is coming from somebody who believes that there's no issue with people owning guns, just that gun ownership and presence, not to mention violence, have reached comical levels of saturation on American soil.
You're right it's not just about me. It's about all of the other people your side has pissed with all the dumb rhetoric, which must be a staggering amount given that a little under half the country seems to think everything is absolutely fine in a bunch of polls. Society creates its own monsters, and you all have done one hell of a job I must say.
Except that multi-paragraph post had no substance other than flaming, proving my point about how triggered you guys get when I point out your hypocrisy. Even now you all continue to belittle the significance of our rights while missing the point I was originally trying to make.
It's hard not to make the posts sound like they're addressed to some sort of hivemind when everyone comes out of the woodwork to say "X rights don't matter because I don't agree with it, but Y rights do". Supporting everyone's rights shouldn't be dumbed down to "supporting a political position", yet here we are complete with people trying to prioritize certain rights over others because they have not personal value or investment into them. Complete with Swinefest's autistic screeching in the background while others throw personal insults at me for trying to make a point:
Maybe some of you should take a good fucking look in the mirror before wondering why all these Trump supporters/Republicans/whoever else, can't relate to your side of the argument.
That Albert isn't acknowledging that he's effectively arguing against the single greatest argument for keeping guns in this country to begin with says an awful lot about why he cares about guns.
Albert and others have argued time and again every time the topic comes up that guns are "only a tool" and use the argument of defending against tyranny as the backing for their arguments as to why you shouldn't take their "tools" away.
Suddenly there's a prime opportunity to not even use them in anger or violence, but even just to wave them around as a reminder that the ones up-top are ultimately not the ones in charge, and their response is "lol no screw you nerds"?
Like if you want to "own the libz" so damn much maybe prove that your arguments for keeping guns in the event of government tyranny have some validation when the opportunity finally presents itself.
Oh yes, how dare people be not nice to you because you think your precious guns are more important than this whole refugee shitshow and have the fucking audacity to basically tell people they need to convince you to give a shit?
Piss off.
Are you really using my fear over the future of the country to force me to treat you like a delicate, sensitive litte baby?
Is that really what you want? Are you really that accepting of your own fragility?
Do you not see that some people might see a large qualitative difference between a right to own a specific type of property and the right to get to an area in which they don't face severe risk of death? Acknowledging a difference between these two isn't saying one is not important, only that the absence of one is more of a pressing issue to be addressed.
Is it that they can't relate to our sides of the argument or that they simply choose not to? Guess what, people are getting sick of beating their heads to pulp on stone walls, and metaphorically screaming at the ocean in order to bring people to their senses, so hyperbole and some angry words might be thrown around. When you think, shit such as "we need to mine the border to leave some blasted corpses behind, to act as scarecrows" was thrown around here unironically during the election, it's not that easy to empathize with warped ideas like that, or ideas that have no footing in actual reality such as "the illegal migrants are not the best and all rapefugees/drug peddlers/mafiosi."
As for the significance of your rights, I'm fairly sure many people have pointed out before that the problem concerning guns is so multifactorial, one important factor being the gun owners' lobby absolutely refusing to accept any further checks and balances that might be needed, and the second being the inability to properly control sales of firearms, that there are constant instances of mass murder because of how hideously easy it is to get your hands on a semi auto or high capacity handgun and some illegal mags if you need them. Guess what, people are sick of hearing about this shit, and everybody with a brain wants to see it stop. The biggest problem of all is the fact that your government and representatives (as a whole) don't have the political will of a teaspoon to take the hard decisions needed to curb gun violence.
You talk so freely about liberals pissing off others with dumb rhetoric, when your gibbon in chief and his collection of cultists do a better job of pissing people off every time they open their mouths or make a new decision that fucks over everybody but the rich guy. I think they're also entitled to be angry about shit that affects them over the long term, don't you?
are you seriously whining that people treat indefinite detention of children more importantly than you not being able to get a bumpstock
are you that type of kid who cried that you were being abused when your parents got you a silver ferrari instead of a red one
I mean, look at yourself.
You are treating a piece of steel as more important than human lives.
No, actually read that sentence and think for once.
You are treating a piece of steel as more important than human lives.
You seriously have the gall to call for respect for one's argument, when you literally just said you'll base your positions off of spite for a group I'm a part of? You're entitled, plain and simple. You think we're obliged to support you because under your oversimplification, gun rights and inalienable human rights are one and the same. And you apparently can't support both, no, that's insane, if you're a liberal you'll be judged as if you've personally mocked AlbertWesker, because that's who the world revolves around, apparently. God, you're condescending
This is the age of "YOU MADE ME KILL THE HOSTAGES BECAUSE YOU'RE IRRATIONAL" I guess. If throwing kids/adults into prison camps indefinitely is justifiable over gun debates, you need to look at what the fuck you are trying to compare. There is a fucking human rights disaster happening right before your eyes, and the number one thing you are more worried about is gun rights so you can go out shooting on the range. This entire administration is fucking tearing the US apart into little pieces and torching allied bridges by the hour. They are stripping protections from minorities, throwing immigrants into cages, already split and lost kids from their families, supporting fucking Nazis, attacking the media and free press, and you have the balls to say its the fucking liberal's fault that the party is a black hole of morals and any kind of progress.
I'm sorry, this is just getting fucking asinine. The amount of right-wingers blaming fucking liberals for their own party completely destroying the country is just bonkers. Its like blaming the police for shooting hostages because they wouldn't give into the demands of the criminals.
It's not even the liberals getting owned in AlbertWesker's spitefulness, it's immigrants and refugees. Honestly I'm still trying to figure out what the 14th amendment has to do with any of this.
The 14th Amendment guarantees that everyone in the US is afforded the same protections and rights as goes matters of law. So, in other words, even if you're not a US citizen you still have the right to Due Process, a Speedy Trial, a Lawyer, et cetera. It's the 'Equal Protection' Clause of the 14th Amendment which guarantees that.
A lot of people lately have been insinuating that immigrants and asylees 'don't have those rights' because they're not citizens, not knowing about the 14th Amendment's guarantee of equal protection to everyone within the US' borders.
Considering the absolute ass whooping your favorite political sports team took last election cycle, it sounds like you need all the help you can get. What, with a republican controlled senate and running a candidate so godawful that she lost to Donald fucking Trump?

Implying that I give a shit about what you think of me personally. That's not the problem. The problem I have is when people keep passing off lies, misinformation, hypocrisy and bullshit as the truth at our expense. All I'm doing now is just using every trick from your own playbook against you, to give you a taste of your own medicine. Looks like it's pretty hard to swallow, but I learned it all from watching you and the politicians/narratives you support for the last 10 years.
For example:
Well detaining illegal migrants isn't really a violation of the 14th amendment because the government is only charging them for a crime they committed. Last time I checked, denying people bail wasn't a violation of due process or the constitution. After all, you don't really NEED bail conditions to have due process
Sound familiar?
Correction: It's A reason. There are plenty of other reasons for keeping guns but I'm not going to get into that because that wasn't the point I was trying to make. My point was, you shouldn't be surprised when no one comes to your aid when the ones most capable of fighting on your behalf are the same people you keep fucking antagonizing.
Oh you guys WISH it was just about the guns. Ok I'll humor you. Pretend for just a moment that guns didn't exist. I still have PLENTY to complain about from your side and the narratives you support. Let's start with hypocrisy and lies:
When Comey was investigating Hillary Clinton it was "politically motivated sabotage", but when he started investigating Trump and got fired for it, he was an American Hero.
When Hillary Clinton used her political power to bury Bernie Sanders, it was a big nothingburger. When Trump's campaign staff used their influence to have Russia spread memes and shitpost during the election, only then is it considered tampering with the electoral process.
When Markus Meechan has their freedom of speech infringed upon for making a Nazi joke with their dog, it's OK because the guy is an obnoxious alt-right figurehead of some sort.
When millions of undocumented migrants are overburdening the legal system to the point where it becomes legally questionable just to hold people until their trial date, people still have the audacity to claim "they don't cause that much of a strain on resources" despite some trails being delayed in excess of 10 years.
The entirety of San Francisco. No seriously, what a mess. Despite all the talk of being progressive and against income inequality, they have one of the worst wealth gaps and homelessness problems in the country.
Sanctuary cities. Because liberal politicians would rather protect a drunken/idiotic undocumented immigrant who drives without a license or car insurance/valid registration, instead of the poor bastard they just rear ended at a red light. (Had this happen to a family member)
etc.. etc...
It's all the little things that matter. Adding them all up, eventually something's going to give.
No I never said I was entitled for people to agree with me on any issue. That's stupid and once again people are mischaracterizing what I say, and replacing it with what they want to hear. What I AM entitled to is to do whatever the fuck I please, as long as it doesn't harm the rights of others. You don't have to agree with it, but that's the way things should stay.
Also you're wrong about the "this is why Trump won" being paper thin, because in your political zealotry, you've probably never once thought nor cared about who you step on in the name of progress. However we remember quite clearly and as this election cycle shows, payback is a bitch. You could say the same about me right now, but really all I have said in this thread are things which I have learned from your kind. I am but mimicking the years of rhetoric you have given us, and returning the payment in full.
Despite this, I am at least willing to admit I was wrong before. I was wrong before about Islam being the devil; I was wrong before about thinking transgender rights was just some form of sexual deviancy; etc... But you? None of you are even willing to admit that your side has ever wronged us in any way shape or form, regardless of intent. That is what we remember most. That is why I am holding it against you. Things aren't as black and white as you want them to be. I'm only the bad guy here because deep down, that's what you really want me to be.
Don't try pretend for one second that any of you are above this; you're all just as guilty as me.
It's clear from how much you wrote in that post that you only skimmed what people said.
Yes, it's really a violation of the 14th Amendment to deny them rights because they're aliens, just as it's really a violation of their 6th Amendment rights to try them en masse, without adequate legal representation, with coercion, and perhaps most importantly while denying their right to a speedy trial.
If you read the full post, you’d know I was making an entirely disingenuous argument by paraphrasing what others have argued before on a different subject. The basis of that argument was equally as retarded.
These clowns could do with a hard lesson on civil discourse.
The president really ought to not made executive orders and orders for agencies that go directly against the Constitution.
If one amendment gets ignored, none of them are safe. Not the 24th (prevents poll taxes) or the 22nd (presidential term limits) or the 8th (excessive bail, fines, cruel and unusual punishment) or the 2nd
You really don't want to see Trump or his party abuse or ignore a single amendment.
There was hardly anything I'd call civil in your own post.
Also, you were using my post as an example of
lies, misinformation, hypocrisy and bullshit as the truth at our expense.
Otherwise, you're implying that I'm somehow
watching you and the politicians/narratives you support for the last 10 years.
Which means either you believe I'm a politician or that what I'm writing here is a 'narrative'. Otherwise you would've done literally anything else, such as just writing what you did without quoting my post for literally no reason.
The post wasn't a literal call to arms for gun owners to rise up in violent revolution, it was to point out the hypocrisy of the position that the second amendment serves as a bulwark to government tyranny. A hypocrisy that you are illustrating beautifully with your unhinged rantings about "the other side" that rely on the vaguest of generalizations and straight up assumptions of the views and opinions other people hold.
