Trump creates 'Denationalization' task force to deport U.S Citizens

I know Canada is accepting American refugees, if you can take the cold.
Oh trust me, leaving the US won't prevent you from hearing Baby Donny's tantrums any less.
Hitler fought in WW1, probably got ptsd, and was an all around nutcase. How can a sleazy businessman be so foul and dark?
Why don't ya just move to Mexico instead if you are so fed up with America? You could trade places legally with a Mexican instead of hogging up a spot for actual refugees fleeing actual wars here, instead of wanting to apply for refugee status purely because you don't like your currently elected President.
Everyday the anxiety that I could lose my loved ones grows greater and greater.
This is complete bullshit.
Secret diagnosis of Alzheimer's most likely
You’d be amazed how maladjusted people turn out never being told “no” growing up.
You say this now, but given how people are already being ‘denaturalized’ and deported after decades of living as an honest American, people have the right not to feel safe in a country that’s taking a very visible and dark turn.
I recently moved to Denmark to escape the shitshow that is Brexit. Seems pretty cozy over here but that could just be the honeymoon period.
So uhhhh is this legal?
At least you went there legally, from what I read lately, isn't Denmark one of the toughest countries in Western Europe on illegal immigrants? I doubt proboardslol makes any chance getting in as a refugee anywhere if his entire argument of trying to apply is ''I intensely dislike Trump''. Then again, he doesn't strike me as the type knowing the difference between legal immigration and illegal immigration.
"I will make it legal" - Darth Trump
Huh, never thought I would see the 1st American Reich.
I'm getting the sense that you have never had to navigate the convoluted and thoroughly broken bureaucratic nightmare that is our immigration system.
Things left over from McCarthyism: Socialism being a dirty word and boogeyman preventing things like improvements to public transit and single payer healthcare
Things not left over from McCarthyism: Hunting down with extreme prejudice politicians with the most esoteric Russian ties
never would I think I'd be low-key defending McCarythism what the FUCK is happening
Well now that was just uncalled for
Boy from netherlands thinks its peachy here in the US while ignoring a near permanent republican supreme court and the massive power grabs and presidential overreach.
Why don't you actually know the entire story of how shit it is getting here before mouthing off from your arse. More and more people are falling below the poverty line. Majority end up in debt for the entirety of their lives if they have a life threatening injury or illness. Majority of states are becoming gerrymandered to repub bias. Housing is brcoming out of reach for lower-middle class and especially for lower class. And all these extremely problematic issues will be spreading with the republican majority. You've already seen reports on how fucked the average american is welfare wise, imagine 5 presidents down the road.
Get fucking real, and realize theres a lot more issue as play than just immigrants being sent to concentration camps.
You are guaranteed the right to a speedy trial so if Trumples indefinite detention plans are btfo by courts that won't happen.
I swear you guys from the netherlands always have this superiority complex.
That is the next big step with this and his intention. Because if he can get away with this, especially under the guise of national security, then he can start to argue that because protestors are protesting the government, then they too are a threat to national security. I mean, the claim is easy to make and without any other context you can make the logic sound. "They protest the policies of the government. They're causing trouble in the streets and demanding government institutions be destroyed. Removing these policies and institutions would compromise our security. These protestors are therefore a threat to national security. We already removed citizenship from this otjer group of citizens for national security, so we can and should remove the citizenship from this group of citizens."
Idunno about you, but I'm staying. I'm gonna try and do what I can to fix this country or die trying. I can't do much, but god damnit I'm going to try. Just remember that you won't be safe anywhere you go if the US truely turns sour. The US has the most powerful navy and air force in the entire world. They can do whatever they want. Can nuke whoever they want. Can end the world if they want. They can destroy the global economy (like what's going on now) if they want to. There's only one group of people that can fix the US: it's citizens.
Technically, yes it's always been legal. I think I might be one of the few FPers that has actually gone through the US immigration system, and you literally give USCIS every bit of information on your life, Facebook info, medical exam by a US Embassy Certified doctor, interviews, Iwas stunned during my second interview they didn't demand my first born.
At the end of each piece of paperwork you sign it and it warms you in big bold letters that if you are dishonest or the information you provide is inaccurate in any way intentionally or not you are committing a federal crime and you will be on ineligible for citizenship or immigration. So whether or not you earned citizenship or not after that is irrelevant because you weren't eligible to receive it in the first place.
However, USCIS would technically have to without a doubt have to prove your immigration paperwork was incorrect in any way. The worrying part is how much is enough proof, what is the bar under which paperwork can be considered falsified and therefore your immigration paperwork considered invalid. It would probably help paint the clear picture if the guidelines they want to review on those 2500 cases were public.
It's a pretty slippery slope sure there's probably a good group of people they have their eye on that shouldn't have gotten citizenship because they intentionally falsified their paperwork but there's far more they're going to look at that may have done it unintentionally and will be accused of Fraud and threatened with denaturalization. There is a metric fuckton of paperwork invloved with applying for just a green card and your given little to no documentation on how to fill them out correctly. So I wouldn't doubt for a second that there are plenty of cases where the person thought they filled it out correctly but it wasn't what USCIS wanted but it got overlooked anyway.
I have no intention of leaving. It's our country, our mess to clean up. We can't let it spread and it will if it goes unchecked. So better or worse I'm here to stay.
Hey all those guys who cite an authoritarian government for the reason to own guns: where ya'll at? Oh that's right, locking children up and targeting US Citizens now
To be fair, I'm not going to blame then for not speaking up like that because the Secret Service can get far too friendly if you say the wrong thing. Better to keep your head down and bide time until enough people are properly motivated and organized.
I have waterfront property in arizona to sell
Rule #1 of counter-debating: Don't insult the person you're debating with.
And you really think the situation when it comes to poverty, housing and the welfare state is that much better over in Europe? I'll let you in on something. It's going to be considered lucky if I get a pension by the time I am 70 given how rapidly the pension age is ramping up here. Care for the elderly is also rapidly becoming worse due to the budget for it getting cut all the time. The housing market is also too expensive here, there are enough families here too who can't afford housing. Social housing ain't much better given how fucking long the waiting list is becoming. And this continent's borders keeps getting made a mockery of by human traffickers, which is already heavily pressuring an already overloaded system where the biggest banks on the continent are in dire straits for the past few years. I fear what will happen when that bubble finally pops. It's not going to look pretty here within five Presidents either, unless drastic changes are happening, such as finally having tight control on the outer borders of this continent, since contrary what Macron and Merkel say, there is no way in hell that an continent of 350 million people can provide for a continent spanning into the billions south of us by the end of the decade. There has to be a moment where we need to get tough, even if it is considered immoral to shut borders down.
Let us know when hookworm starts to come back in Europe due to people's plumbing being so sub-standards that their shit all drains into a giant cess pool that sometimes floods.
Because that's what the UN found happens in America's most impoverished city.
OOH, sorry folks, it looks like the Netherlands is the first country to lose in "refugee roulette!" They were heavily favored from the beginning but had the inherent "people can't tell them apart from Germans" disadvantage going.
Next up: SWEDEN! Whatcha got for me, Swedes?
