Trump creates 'Denationalization' task force to deport U.S Citizens

So basically:
A requirement for DACA qualification is that you don't commit any serious crimes.
Your data states that about 2,000 DACA qualifiers (out of almost 700,000 total) have committed serious crimes.
...and thusly had their DACA status revoked.
I don't see the problem? It seems to be working as intended.
Especially since there's roughly 2.2 million people in prison in the US, roughly 0.91% of adults.
And this is 2000/690,000, so about 0.29%.
Your reductio ad absurdum needs some work.
A percentage of a population far smaller than it should be compared to the population at large was removed for gang affiliation. Note that they didn't even necessarily commit crimes.
Vs.
The government is stripping children away from their parents and locking them in cages.
Are you really making this comparison?
I should also point out that many of the children not stripped from their parents were instead the ones who were natrual born US citizens and we're left to fend for themselves in their parents absence.
Wow, fixing things rather than throwing it out, now there's a novel idea.
Which doesn't explain why you're linking people to a white nationalist immigration hate website.
So a smaller percentage of criminals than American born people yet for some reason DACA is a failure letting criminals flow through hmmm.
It's truly astonishing how quickly this country went to shit in the relatively short time Trump's been president. While I wasn't 100% behind every decision Obama made, he was still one of the most charismatic and personable presidents we've had, and I would do anything to have someone like that back in office.
I feel like every day there's another article detailing something heartless that Trump has done, and the fact that there's still a very, very vocal group of people who support him is dumbfounding. I'm sure the whole "Mexicans are destroying America" sentiment has been around for decades, but at least no one had given them complete approval like this in the past. It's absolutely disgusting.
I don't think the people in the pro-Trump camp even realize how many lives they have ruined. Not to mention how much damage this has done to us diplomatically. I don't know how long it'll take for this country to return to some level of normality, if ever.
This fucking sucks.
I'm saying that just because a number is small does not mean it doesn't have an affect. To you 2020 criminals from DACA is nothing but the same could be said about the 3000 children who were seperated.
Numbers are not equal. You are ignoring context to try and make the point that 'if you don't care about these numbers, you don't care about those numbers'.
That's not fair. The white immigrants will be just fine with this administration.
And you completely missed the point. Because of course you did.
Starting to think that some of the conservatives on Newpunch are just using this forum as a sounding board to figure out which absurd claims they can reasonably defend without exposing themselves, experimenting with different phraseology and using the rating system as an impromptu way of “reading the room” while they hone their bad-faith politics for more mainstream social media platforms and in turn the real world.
Well honestly fuck you if you give Trump any benefit of the doubt whatsoever after he has repeatedly demonstrated over the past 3 years what an unapologetic fascist, ethno-nationalost he is. It’s so completely fucking obvious at this point that anyone who plays dumb about it is willfully enabling treason.
2018 was the year I ran out of patience for this shit.
Unfortunately, not even the white immigrants would be just fine. The Stephen Miller argument against Immigration isn't just against gene-pools threatening America's greatness - it's also cultural and religious. Even if you're the whitest sumbitch out of Puerto Rico, Miller would ensure you never get in to the US unless you prove yourself to also be a white nationalist who has thrown away your native culture and religions to adopt the US' whole-heartedly.
This is what programmer does every time someone sources his bullshit claims, argues semantics and uses ridiculous comparisons to try to justify his views.
Which step of that "Genocide" chart is this?
I swear it's so ridiculous that in the fucking 21st century we've loved the 20th so much that we are repeating the same steps
the amount of apathy some users on this website have disturbs me honestly.
okay now i'm genuinely horrified
what the fuck? why are they coming after ACTUAL citizens now???
Because they're drug dealers, they're murderers, they're rapists and some, they assume, are good people. That's what Trump says, so that's what the truth is.
Wanna know why the fascists use Pepe as their brand?
Because they're boiling america like a frog.
Because it was their end goal all along
Can't enslave the blacks and Latinos anymore? Can't keep the women under control? Then they don't want them in the country anymore. Welcome to the Republicans' Land of the Free
Good fucking lord, this is reminding me of those godawful WWASP abuse stories all over again.
I like how people are acting as though this is somehow more morally reprehensible than before. I guess once it hits closer to home so to speak
I think it's more that the vile, heartless acts coming from this administration (and those otherwise affiliated) are just so unrelenting. I'd be willing to bet that 6 out of 7 days a week we hear at least one new shitty thing, if not multiple. And the more of this agenda that we see and the longer the flagrant abuses/breaking of the law go on without consequence, the more disheartening it gets. In some ways, this is just another thing to throw on the pile...but it just feels increasingly vindictive lately, and the anti-immigrant agenda is getting more and more absurd.
The number of facists in this thread actually defending this is stunning.
You do not, at least as far as the US is concerned. Some countries might require it since they don't recognize dual citizenship, ie a naturalized US citizen from Japan would usually have to give up Japanese citizenship. But there's plenty of people from countries like Canada, Mexico, the UK and elsewhere who became naturalized in the US and still legally retain both citizenships.
i am from canada and i have to give up my canadain citizenship to become a naturalized citizenship.
