molotov through the window
Notice how it hasn't called anyone an anarchist?
Liberty on the axis means you believe in a government that protects the rights of people, rather than ruling people.
If you look down near the bottom of some of the submissions, you'll find the symbol of Anarchy in more than one of these.
Oh true, I suppose I was taking it at more of it's modern political definition, rather than it's actual definition. I guess it makes sense for me to be a "Libertarian" in that sense then.

I was pretty indecisive about half the questions in PolitiScales from the looks of it :V
Not on 8values, which is what people are mostly looking at here, and it's the one with the "Liberty - Authority" axis (Wafflemonstr called "Authority" out by specific name, PolitiScales doesn't use the term).

This thread feels like: "Post your Internet Speed"
Everybody kinda posts it yet nobody really cares that much about other results
(Although I did come here just to find graphs of certain Users (Like OvB and Boilrig)

Cant' say I fully agree on this. My ecology rating should definitely have been higher and there were a number of questions that I answered pretty neutrally on because I either wasn't certain what they meant or because they were far too nuanced to give a solid answer on.

This on the other hand feels fairly accurate.

Not sure I'm satisfied with Politial Compass either. Questions like "Controlling inflation is more important than controlling unemployment." are a bit weird. Why would you even be making a choice between those two concepts to begin with? To my knowledge they're only nebulously linked so it doesn't need to be an either/or. Had to go with a light disagree because I think they're both about equally important while strongly disagreeing would imply unemployment is more important while agreeing or strongly agreeing would imply inflation is more important.
The lack of a neutral choice on the matter is stupid too. On a question such as "There are no savage and civilised peoples; there are only different cultures." I have no strong opinion in either direction. But I'm forced to lean one way or the other because the test doesn't give adequate responses.
Also this result is fairly radically different than the last time I took it despite my beliefs not ahving changed much in the mean time. Left-right is about the same but the vertical result is twice as far from the central axis as it normally is. I'm middle left with a bit of a libertarian lean.
I'm not sure the test was originally in English. It feels like it was (fairly poorly) translated from Japanese or another language which doesn't have the same grammatical structure as English does.
Wow, you disagree with both communism and capitalism so much you completely removed it from the results altogether.
Totally agreed on that. There's too little nuance. Teaching about religions and even getting in-depth with them should be fine in school. But integrating religion into schools is a totally different beast and shouldn't be acceptable. I'm rabidly apathetic about religion in general but my world religions class back in high school was one of my favorite classes nonetheless.
I actually came here specifically because I was interested in seeing how some of the other people who frequent SH/Polidicks ranked according to the tests.

Definitely some interesting results, and I think we can all agree that the PolitiScales could use some work on the wording of the questions. A number of my answers were made just because I wasn't sure what so say. I wouldn't really consider myself a Democratic Socialist either, though I suppose I'm around that ballpark.
I already know about political compass, but I would be interested in seeing if there were other more accurate tests out there. A lot of these tests as some people have pointed out really miss some crucial nuances. It doesn't seem possible on a lot of these to support both "liberty" and "authority", and even then without a clear definition on how the terms are defined makes the test results somewhat ambiguous.
Still its neat to see other FP'ers and their results. Some of these results really go to show that one persons utopia is anothers dystopia. And yet we all seem to want a just and healthy society.

I must admit, I did answer "neutral" on a bunch of issues that I didn't understand.
2018 Political Quiz
This is a bit different than the other quizzes but it's pretty in depth nonetheless. It focuses less on classifying you than it does showing what US politicians align most closely with your views. For example here's my results:
https://www.isidewith.com/profile/3501943989/parties
It also has an interesting caveat in that you don't have to answer all available questions as well as being able to rank how important your answer to each is.
Gives a fairly wide array of information. Party alignment:

Different topics, though it doesn't give a legend for the icons which is kinda annoying: (After looking over everything, anything with a solidly colored star on the proceeding images is me with the legend in the next image being related to the star's color)
https://i.imgur.com/kKOCzRz.png
Alignment with each party based on themes:

I'm not entirely certain how this one works though since outer edges are just labeled "extreme" without any explanation as to what the difference between the two is.
Then axis-based alignment like political compass, albeit upside down:

The blue star would be me which puts me right around where I actually stated I should be for political compass.

I think the way people answer questions also depends on their country,in my case the banks should remain private question is a bit odd to answer when in greece there already are public banks, same case with the labor market in greece as i dont know how well or badly it works in practice.
Anyways this is my results
