Sean Spicer says Trump LGBT Mention Was a Ploy to Win Over Moderate Republicans

Haha, It's just a prank bro!
It continues to be astounding how easy it was for Trump to dupe a huge number of people. Like basically
"Mr Trump it looks like you're extremely prejudiced against group, how do you explain that?"
"no, I love group"
"ahhh sweet never mind"
It's because he has no real, strongly-held opinions about anything, as far as we can tell. The only things that he seems to have consistent narratives on are what he hates. Everything else kind of falls to the wayside and the most you'll ever get out of him on most subjects is a soundbite, because he'd simply never sit down and be interviewed about something like that.
Yeah, the only proper sitdown Trump interviews I can think of are the Chris Matthews one where he had to make up his position on abortion on the spot, and ended up saying women should be punished for them; and the Lester Holt one where he said he was thinking of Russia when he fired Comey. I can see why he doesn't do them anymore, he isn't competent enough to handle them
Let's keep in mind that Trump has had exactly three general-purpose press conferences, where people can ask him questions about anything, since... declaring his candidacy. Three.
He has had many smaller, more-focused press announcements and informal chats with journalists, but only three formal sit-downs where he opens the floor to whatever the press fake news media throws at him.
And I have to imagine that it's because his lawyers and staff have figured out that the electoral college elected a narcissistic finite state machine that blurts out whatever he thinks will a) win the attention (and ideally approval) of the audience and b) let him avoid being made to feel shame (often by blame-shifting or bluntly denying hard evidence). Whether something is true or not is not something Trump cares about, he will say anything if it works to achieve his goals in the situation.
They've all been banned and have since left Facepunch for being too liberal safe spaces for them.
