I'm stuck with tinnitus probably permanently. I'm lucky in that it's subtle enough that I don't notice it most of the time but any time it's quiet (like when I'm trying to sleep) it's crushing. All because I thought ear pro was for pussies and refused to wear it while shooting for like a year.

I fired a gun once, forgetting my ear pro as around my neck and not actually in. Never going to make that mistake again. I was fucked up all day and still get intermittent tinnitus.

I didn't wear Earpro to a metal show in 2011, I still get tinnitus in my right ear at random. Didn't help that the venue was (and is) run by semi-sentient monkeys so the PAs are too large and run too loud for the space.
