She's a pro shitstirrer really. Anyone pretending to have a leisurely tourist stroll would probably pack something less obvious than a full fledged videocamera, like a gopro on a backpack strap or whatever. Hell, the oversized camera and massive microphone possibly serves for her to be more obvious about what she's doing, and pretend she's an actual journalist doing actual reporting.
That's on top of her going full AM I BEING DETAINED on the policeman, and fake-complying to his request not to be filmed. You're 100% allowed to film policemen out on the street in Australia, and if she was willing to go against a policeman's advice right up until he uttered the magic "Don't do this or I'll put you under custody" phrase for her viral video, she would've stayed firm and continued to film properly. She doesn't, because she wants to give the guy a sense of security and bait him into unprofessional behavior.
The cop handled it like an absolute gentleman, no doubt about it.
What's so unnecessary about it?
Let's also remember that her rap sheet already includes international terrorism and actual high seas piracy. Frankly I'd be more concerned if police weren't tailing her.
Make sure to bring condoms, it is an intimate dinner, after all.
What an idiot, walking around with a big fucking camera
there's entirely too much conspiracy bullshit being peddled into mainstream these days. There's always been "no go" zones in the world, its just they were places minorities couldn't go without being lynched or beaten to death. Now idiots on the internet are trying to see how quick they can get their asses kicked and then demand the government do something about their entitlements
Truly terrible.
And expecting a widely feared and distrusted/marginalised group not to feel intimated?
So should people not film in certain public spaces you deem sensitive to large cameras?
with giant obnoxious cameras? sure go ahead, but don't expect people on the street not to act this way
Lmfao there's no such thing as a no go zone in Sydney.
Well that is understandable. J shouldn't be a reason for people to get violent.
Which people didn't, so the video really has no reason to be pushing the message it's desperately trying to
Well and that is good nothing happened. I just think the police interaction was unnecessary and nanny-stating.
Yes, i agree, but then also no reason to send the police to stop her tbh, that knife cuts both ways.
Pretty sure they were in the right to make sure that a known shit starter who hates muslims, didn't start shit around a bunch of muslims
Still a Nanny state move to stop someone from walking through a public space because of potential actions caused by others.
That's not at all what she was intending to do and everyone knows it
So what was she going to do besides walking down a street block with a big camera? Ask questions?
Ask extremely provocative questions and go into places that she shouldn't
People can go into public areas generally. Unless you are suggesting there are places she cannot go that you knew she was going to.
Also being able to ask provocative questions is kind of a staple that indicates a democratic society.
A well known white supremacist known to provoke reactions from Muslims intentionally enters a predominantly Muslim area.
Provocative as in thought provoking yes, not intimidating/anger provoking
If a person is not allowed to go in a public area because of their political views or occupation then i have a problem with calling that country free.
The fact that this is something that is not self evident to most people here troubles me...

Both are very real, and both should be hated and cast out equally.
These are both cases of the extreme who get the spotlight to appear moderate. They must both be fought in equal measures. Not all Europeans are Faschists and not all Muslims call for the Islamists.
We need a constant reminder that men and women on both sides of this fence do not have the interest of either people at heart.
People should not be afraid to live in their own cities, to walk down their own streets, but unfortunately both peoples have tormented eachother and this has become the case.
NATO troops have been butchering these people for decades, whether from the skies or dragging innocent people out of their homes in wars nobody wanted or needed, nobody can blame the hatred that some develop towards us and our Governments. Angry men following extreme Islamic ideals have then been indoctrinated to spread fear, and their faith in the European continent.
Violent Wahabism is on the rise in Europe, and Drone Strikes are common place in the middle east.
And then there are the poor people caught in between, the people who just want to go to work, see their families and live out their lives side by side.
This attention seeking bitch is so small of a problem it's ridiculous, and at the same time to have anyone afraid to go to a part of town in a first world country, or any country without fear of violence because of their opinions, religious beliefs or race is absolutely unacceptable.
Further segregating our peoples. She walks in to a Muslim busy area, expecting them to cause shit, and they are stupid enough to cause shit and fall for it, likely without any direct provocation.
If I have one criticism for the Islamic people, they are not above criticism. If they think they can bully people into thinking otherwise, they need to be taught their place.
WW2 was fought and won for all people to co exist in the face of hatred, and both sides currently threaten this.
The thing is, they didn't cause anything, they didn't even really do anything
i love you
