Can someone explain to me what exactly the idea is behind saying this kind of stupid shit? I see it in every single one of these threads time and time and time and time again. What the fuck is it that you think you're doing exactly besides pissing people off? You're not proving a point, you're not making an argument, you're not even giving out a decent little witty counter zinger, and you're definitely not even attempting to prove any points other people have brought up as wrong, you're just saying some supid shit and making yourself look like an idiot out of some percieved nationalistic superiority.
I lived in Detroit for about a year or 2. The terrible roads that are just strings of potholes and the 2 hour response time for ambulances is way deadlier than the gun crime there. Yea its bad but London-stabbings bad, or London-terrorists bad. I was never in fear for my life in the entire time I lived there, except when I went to Joe Louis and almost got into a fight with a Canadian. Michigan also has strict handgun laws, so I dont know why you think further restrictions will help. Britposters are incredibly snooty and prideful over Americans. They think America is what you see in Reddit memes and on CNN. They think they know our country better than we do and they think they know how to legislate it better too. For some reason many of them think that an outsiders perspective is the same as an experts perspective. Honestly most of the brits here act like petulant little children. Theyll dish out heat and insults at America all day long but if you make a single joke about their shithole of a country they start throwing an absolute fit. Its honestly lame trying to talk to someone who is do incredibly defensive over their own bullshit but has no respect or regard for yours. Its like dealing with a 5 year old.
Pro tip: don’t start arguments about stroking your nationalism boner against the USA, ESPECIALLY if you live in Great Britain. I say this for 2 reasons. We have more nationalistic propaganda, brainwashing, and memes than the entirety of everyone else combined. Shitting on your country is quite literally a national pastime for us.
Our country was founded on shitting on the British. We celebrate shitting on the British every year with explosions and patriotism.
I actually cringed when reading this. This post is the definition of stroking one's nationalistic ego
It's okay, all you're here to do is mock americans, and not discuss issues with any sincerity or intelligence You cringing is about the least of anyones concerns because you can't, and won't, even add to the discussion in a valuable way.
Read the fucking post. Of course it is. That's the point. That's the joke. Question though: You don't like guns. What do you think of your countries knife regulations?
I agree with having knife regulations because I fully believe that there's no reason for people to carry a knife in public. I think the current length regulations are fine as they limit the danger they pose. I still think carrying a knife in public is a bad idea though. I don't think it's the same thing though, as guns are clearly far more dangerous than knives, so I'd disagree with someone drawing a parallel (I'm not accusing you of doing this).
A pocket knife is probably one of the most useful things you could carry on you. I use mine on an almost daily basis. They're great for opening packages or mail, and there's been a few times where I've forgotten to bring it and thought, "man I wish I had my knife on me"
You seem to want to live in an absurd world. How does one transport a knife then?
This but applied to your posts in this thread
I fully believe there's no reason for people to be this dumb
I carry no less than five knives in my backpack and one/two in the pocket just while going about school, including butterfly knives and a switchblade - just for shits and giggles (and it's fun to teach people how to use a balisong). People who are going to use knives to murder / rob people aren't going to be deterred by a law against carrying a knife - why would they if they are OK with murder / robbery?
So apparently, people who aren't from the US are supposed to be fully understanding of the gun culture in the US, but people from the US simply refuse to reciprocate and degree of understanding that such a thing doesn't exist in the UK, shown very strongly by the fact that at least half of people have chosen to insult my intelligence as opposed to making any argument as to why I'm actually wrong. If I'm ignorant for my lack of understanding of the US, then you people are just as ignorant for your own lack of understanding.
Because you're acting like ignorance is some magical American force as if the UK doesn't hold it's fair share of it. It's not like the saturation of guns in America is any worse than how you can go to prison for using deadly force to defend yourself against a murderer in the UK.
Nobody wants to have an actual discussion with you. Wonder why?
You need to grow the fuck up. I'll give you a diamond if you can find where i've complained once in this thread, go on im waiting
Well then that's their problem then. I'm willing to have a discussion, and they're willing to just be outraged and call me an idiot. I'd admit I came off a bit too anti-American, and I wouldn't pretend the UK doesn't have issues - I just don't believe weapon laws are better in the UK than they are in the US and I find them more agreeable. As for the right to defend in the UK, laws exist to stop people being executed when they break into someone's home. And even so, as seen in recent cases, when a mugger is killed, little is done by the justice system if it is seen to be a justified use of force (it is only illegal if someone is seen to use a disroportionate amount of force, e.g. stabbing an unarmed burglar). Those are laws I also agree with.
You aren't willing to have a discussion, you're willing to moan about America and wring your hands about pointy objects. Grow up
I'm literally having a discussion with other people about it - you just seem to be ignoring that and not want it to take place in the first place; is this some sort of illegitimate discussion to you?
I haven't seen you discussing, I've seen you soapboxing and throwing your toys out of the pram when anyone contradicts you for the past 3 pages.

Geez i guess you really didnt want that diamond, or you just couldn't provide an example of where i complained like you accused me of doing
I have a post discussion it above yours. Actually try reading this thread.
Thats stating a fact not a complaint
I just posted it
Are you referring to this? You aren't discussing, you're just reiterating.
You were stating that fact as a complaint. You were clearly implying it as a complaint. It'd be disingenous to deny it at this point.
I think you're a narcissistic whiner who thinks he can do no wrong. Stop huffing your farts.
I mean, I conceded that I came off as too anti-American, which is clearly me thinking I do no wrong... I'm not a narccissist because I'm not sharing your opinion.
